Here's my sample card which I'm hoping may just inspire you enough to join in yourself.
I started by smooshing a pink pirouette splodgy background and then used a stencil to add some pumpkin pie round the edges. Next I stamped the large butterfly using melon mambo - which just has to be one of my all time favourite ink colours!
I'm thinking maybe I might use this card on a scrapbook page and that led my choice of sentiment. And butterflies are pretty incredible anyway.

Love the grunge CAS style and the butterfly looks so pretty against it in those colours. Beautifully done. Hugs Bev x
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of smooshing the background first and then layering over it with the stencil, very creative x

ReplyDeleteAwesome card! I love the texture and the contrast between the organic smooshed background with the geometric stencil!

ReplyDeleteYour smooshed background turned out much better than my attempts (which have been added to the recycling bin rather than made into cards)! It's a lovely background for the pretty butterfly. And hey, I have that sentiment stamp set, too! :)
ReplyDeleteGrunge for CAS, I love it. Great way to showcase the colours
