It's not often that a new challenge comes along and when it's the brain child of the multi talented Darnell you know it's going to be a great one. So I'm here today joining in with the very first Twofer Challenge.
And as it name suggests there needs to be two cards both using the same stamp or die, but in different ways. So here's my twofer:
Both cards use the same Clearly Besotted feather stamp, but in different ways, colours and occasions.
The first one is a congratulations card and since the greeting mentions pink that's the colours I chose to use. The feathers were stamped and heat embossed in black and then two shades of distress oxide ink were blended on top. Som flicks of water mopped up with a tissue and I was done.
My second card is an encouragement card and I stamped the feathers going off the side of the card in a graduated pattern. I chose a Kaleidacolor ink pad as I love the way the colours change along this very beautiful and detailed feather stamp.
Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Tickle My Fancy
Inks: Versamark, clear + Ranger superfine black embossing powder; Ranger distress oxide, worn lipstick, picked raspberry; Kaleidacolor, cappuccino delight
Thanks so much for joining me today, I really appreciate your visit to ny blog. And keep crafting!
Beautiful cards, love the feather stamp

What a great stamp set! I love how you used the pink Distress Ink on just part of the card (I have a hard time leaving white space!), and the water drops on top rally make the effect pop! Thanks for your visit to mine, and for your lovely comment! Lindart
ReplyDeleteTwo delicious CAS cards, Jane ... the black is so striking against the soft pinks ... and those ombré yellows and oranges are so delicate and dainty! Great choice of sentiments with each one! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYour feather cards are so beautiful in very different ways! I love the pink and black combination and your two pinks are gorgeous together. I also love the look you achieved with those rich cappuccino tones. Thanks for joining in on the fun over at Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteFabulous way to make the cards different! You've just reminded me to get my oxides out and use them! I love both your cards:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shoutout, Jane, and for playing in my Twofer challenge with your beautiful feather cards! Your blended pink background is so pretty and so perfect for the sediment and I love the way you graduated your feathers from the side of your second card! (Gorgeous coloring, too!) You could use it for a graduation card! I'm saying that because your feathers are graduated, but in all seriousness, it would be a great card for a graduate of either gender! I'm filing the idea, so thank you!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Jane. I just love the colour graduation too!
