My first card uses several of the smaller image stamps from the set and a couple of greetings.
I chose a kaleidacolor ink pad with browns and oranges - traditional bee type colours I'm thinking. I randomly stamped the hexagon cluster, dotty hexagon and bee trails over a piece of white card stock. I die cut this into a stitched rectagle and matted it onto a pearlescent brown card base.
Next I stamped the greeting onto a smaller stitched rectangle and then stamped, glittered and hand cut three bees which I popped up onto foam pads before adhering to the card.
My next card is also in fairly conventional bee colours and has a mustardy yellow coloured card base. I also added an older Uniko stencil into the mix.
I used distress oxide ink through the Uniko broken lines stencil, moving it about slightly between colours. I then stamped three inspirational greetings from the Bee Happy stamp set.
I finished off the card by once again stamping, glittering and hand cutting a trio of bees which I placed next to each of the greetings.
My final card for today steps right outside of natural bee colours and uses some hot pinks. Well why not? I rather like the idea of a hot pink bee!
This is my most CAS card using the Bee Happy stamp set and I started by stamping in melon mambo the largest stamp from it - the hexagon heart. I then coloured it with matching copic colours.
I stamped, coloured and hand cut just a single bee this time and added the dotty trail and a heart felt sentiment plus a strip of pink card down the left side to finish it all off.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Bee Happy
Inks: Kaleidacolor, cappuccino delight; SU, baked brown sugar, melon mambo; Versafine, onyx black; Ranger distress oxide, wild honey, candied apple
Pens: Flexmarkers, shocking pink, vermillion; Skauragelly roll, clear star

Oh my, three fantastic cards showcasing Bev's amazing Stamps. Brilliant Jane!
ReplyDeleteA fab trio of busy bees. They are certainly buzzing outside this morning, though the daffs are on the wane and the alliums are not quite out yet, they will have to make do with dandelions! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Jane, the shimmery card stock caught my attention on Instagram earlier today, all gorgeous color combos.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous trio of cards! I really like the first two cards, but it's the hot pink buzzy bee that I just LOVE!!! Great work. Deborah xx

You've been a busy bee again with this second introduction ! And it's another fabulous trio. Totally in love with the design and colours of your first card. Love your second card and the association of the broken lines stencil. it gives so much mouvement, like if we were inside the beehive ! But you stole my heart with your last card and its CAS design and bright colour. I can't help seeing a bee on a raspberry (may be because I love eating raspberries !). Stunning, Jane ! Hugs x
ReplyDeleteAgain today that’s a really sweet set !

A trio of sweet yumminess Jane. I have to say that red hot pink bee might just take off ... quite literally! If only it appeared in nature as it's absolutely beautiful. Love how you've used each sentiment in a fun way in your second one and the top one is another classy colour combo. x
ReplyDeleteLovely trio Jane. Love the pink bee for a change! Indeed love the idea of your first card too with the different hues of bees. Lots of lovely inspiration x
