My first card features a favourite layout of mine - flowers in a row.
I started with a coloured card base and stamped and heat embossed the flowers in white. Then i used my prisma crayons to add colour to the petals. I love how these crayons show up so boldly on coloured card.
I tore a strip of paper and used it to ink up a hilly background and grounded the flowers by adding a stitched sentiment strip.
My next card started with some scoring.
Then I stamped a bunch of flowerheads onto coloured and patterned card. These were handcut and placed in a grouping just above where the scored lines crossed over. I finished off with a greeting from Simply Said Blocks II.
My final card was inspired by a page from my MAMBI planner and involved quite a bit of masking.
I stamped the grouping of flower heads and leaves first, masking as I went along and then overstamped them all with Background Blocks Scattered Polka Dots. i added the sentiment from Flower Power #8 on a handcut fishtail banner.
Here's the pic that started it all off:
Supplies:
Stamps: uniko, Flower Power #8, Simply Said Blocks II, Bacground Blocks Scattered Polka Dots
Inks: Ranger distress, cracked pistachio, lucky clover; Versafine, onyx black; Versamark claer + Ranger opaque white embossing powder; Memento, angel pink, lilac posies
Prsima colour pencils: process red, blush pink, true green, yellowed orange
As always there's loads more inspiration from the rest of the Uniko DT. Be sure to go take a look HERE. And the big day is edging closer! Just two more days of introductions to go and they're both something completely different from stamps and stencils. What could it possibly be then? Mmm come back tomorrow and see!
Thanks for your time today, it's been fabulous having you visit my blog.
