AAA Cards Challenge #115 - Inspired by Nature

The new challenge at AAA Cards is all about being inspired by what you see around you when you're outside enjoying nature at its best.

I love going for a walk along the same route and spotting the changes that occur as the year progresses. And one of my most favourite things to photograph is dandelion seed heads - or dandelion clocks as I've always called them since childhood. So it seems only fitting to use a dandelion clock stamp set for my card.

I started by creating a pretty coloured background inspired by a beautiful evening sky using a stencil. I then stamped the dandelion seed heads straight on top. Happy Little Stampers also happen to be the sponsor for this fortnight's AAA Cards Challenge and there's a $20 gift certificate up for grabs for one lucky winner.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Dandelion wishes
Inks: Versafine, onyx black; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, mermaid lagoon, cracked pistachio, blueprint sketch
Stencil: Memory Box, Texture Mesh

Be sure to pop on over to the AAA Cards blog to check out two absolutely stunning Guest Designer cards and of course all the equally amazing DT cards - HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I always love having your company.

And keep crafting!

  3. The soft colors of your stenciled sky are so pretty, and the dandelions bring back childhood memories of gently blowing on the blooms and watching them float away.

  6. Hi Jane! Silhouettes of dandelions floating by in the backdrop of evening sky is such a beautiful take on the challenge. I love how the gaps in the grid of the stencil adds to the white space. Very pretty card. Happy crafting. Hugs - Bharati
