Uniko Revisit Blog Hop

Today I'm here to tell you all about the Re-Visit Blog Hop going on at Uniko.

Bev always takes a look back at previously released stamp sets and gives them a new bit of love on the months between releases. This month it's the turn of Spring Botanicals Snowdrop, Spring Botanicals Daffodil and the stencil Bright Butterflies.

      

And here's some cards to show how they can be used:

First up I created an inky background to showcase the beautifully delicate snowdrop. I simply stamped the snowdrops on top of the background and used a white Prismacolor pencil to the petals.

I highlighted the snowdrop heads by placing a circle mask over them and adding a little distress ink round the edges of the mask using a dry wet wipe. I finished off the card by stamping the words several times without re-inking in between.

My next card uses lots of patterned designer papers in shades of yellow and peach. I stamped the daffodil straight onto the main background paper and then stamped just the flower heads onto two different patterned papers. I hand cut these heads and adhered them to the main stamped daffodil.

I used a border punch and some narrow strips of patterned paper down the left hand side of the card and stamped the greeting to nestle against them.

Well I'm guessing both those cards are something completely different to my usual CAS style. So I thought why not round it all off with a third surprising showcase - an art journal page. This uses both the stamp sets and the stencil that are being revisited this month plus a background stamp from Uniko.

Lots going on! An inky background, stamps coloured with Copic pens, stencilled butterflies using distress oxides, some foiled accents and doodled lines too!
