Happy Little Stampers - December CAS Challenge

I'm here today to tell you all about the new CAS challenge that's started at Happy Little Stampers. It's a very chilly theme so matches the weather here in the UK perfectly!

Here's my card:

I used the gorgeous Funky Fossil fox and set him in a Winter scene. I started by stamping the fox, masking him and the bottom of the card and then placing a circle stencil over it all. I stamped the trees next and masked them off too.

I used distress ink to add the sky, then removed the bottom mask and inked the icy ground. Then it was time to remove all the masks and reveal the finished scene.

I coloured the fox and his scarf, keeping him in icy colours - maybe he's a snow fox? And then I added some stickles glitter glue to make the icy ground sparkle. The greeting was the final finishing touch.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Woodland Wishes
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, smoky slate, soft sky
Pens: Copic, C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, BG0000, BG15
Embellishments: Stickles, stardust

How will you interpret this theme? I'm thinking it might be a good one for New Year cards if your Christmas stash is full. Or maybe for a Winter birthday with all the magic of the new Frozen movie around at the moment. Check out what the rest of the HLS DT have created HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and I hope wherever you are you're warm and cosy.

And keep crafting!

  3. Such a beautiful card. The perfect CAS card. And the topic of challenge perfectly interprets us. Even colors and elements of glazing evoke frosty associations
