AAA Cards Challenge #180 - Made In Minutes + optional twist Christmas

It's time for the last 2020 challenge over at AAA Cards. You'll notice that the closing date is not until January so there's extra time to play along this time.

STAMPlorations is the sponsor for this challenge and I've use one of their digi stamps for my DT card.

The sentiment was generated on my computer and curved to fit the cup before printing it out.

Today I'm playing along with the challenge at {Pin}spirational. They've another awesome photo to be inspired by and I love its autumnal feel.

Just before I share my card I need to say a big thank you to {Pin}spirational for picking my card as their winner from their last challenge.

Here's my card for the new challenge:

Well it had to have chickens on didn't it? And I love these sketchy chicks from STAMPlorations. I coloured them up to match the different chicken colours from the photo.

But I also wanted to get a feel of the blues and greens from the photo so I added a couple of layers of Polkadoodles patterned paper to the top right corner.

AAA Cards Game #167 - One Layer + optional twist Inspired by the Graphic

Time for a new challenge at AAA Cards and it's one of my favourite themes - One Layer.

   

And a fabulous optional twist too. love the inspiration pic!  In fact I love it so much I've made a couple of cards using stamps from our generous sponsor STAMPlorations.

Here's the first:

I  thought the patterns on the Artsy Doodled Borders were so like the the ones on the butterfly. So I just picked three colours from the photo and stamped up my card.

My second card is a much more literal interpretation of the graphic and uses stamps from a couple of STAMPlorations sets and a stencil from Funky Fossil.

I actually did all the stamping first and then inked through the stencil carefully to avoid the images - no masking required.

AAA Cards Game #163 - Sketch + optional twist It Flies

Already time for another new challenge at AAA Cards!

   

A really lovely and simple sketch to help you to stay CAS and It Flies as the optional twist. Here's my card:

We're all needing to be kind at the moment and appreciating the kindness of others who are helping to keep our countries going while the rest of us stay at home. So what could be more appropriate than this sentiment from STAMPlorations, who also happen to be our very kind and supportive sponsor.

The butterfly trio was stamped with a Kaleidacolor ink pad and then I coloured on top with Miya oil pencils to achieve the slightly smudgy look.

AAA Cards #158 Up To One Third + optional twist Hearts

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards and there's love in the air.

The sponsor for this challenge is STAMPlorations and I've use one of their dies for my DT card.

I chose some pink non shed glitter card from Papermill Direct for the die cut hearts and saved the punched out pieces to add to the horizontal strip. I used a stitched die to add the two lines framing the hearts.

AAA Cards #155 - Along The Edge + optional twist Time Travel

The last 2020 challenge at AAA Cards starts today and it's got a bit of a quirky twist!

Mmmm, so what do you think? Well of course there is no obligation to use the twist, it's the Along the Edge which is the compulsory bit. But I like to twist. So I went with the idea of Santa and his reindeer time travelling to deliver the presents all over the world on Christmas Eve.

I used stamps from our sponsor STAMPlaorations and an antler stencil from Funky Fossil.

AAA Cards #146 Made in Minutes + optional twist Summer

Time for a new challenge over at AAA Cards. 

The idea behind this theme is that if the card can be made quickly then it's more likely to be CAS. Plenty of thought and planning can go into a CAS card but if it should be fairly quick to create to satisfy the simple part of the acronym.

Here's my card:

I used STAMPloaration stamps as they're our sponsor for this new challenge. And to save even more time instead of colouring the image with pens or pencils I used a splat stamp.

Saturday Spot

Today I'm playing along with the CAS Challenge at STAMPlorations.

Mmmm, lilac is a shade of purple right? Well no wonder I had to play then!

I used two colours of ink and a faux watercolour technique for my card. It couldn't be more simple and I love the muted slightly blurry image it gives! I placed the stamp onto my misti tool and then inked it up, spritzed it with water and stamped one colour, then the other and repeated the stamping and spritzing until i was happy with the result.

I finished it all off with a sweet sentiment and matted it onto a lilac card base.

I decided to create a shaker tag using sequins in the colours from the Tag You're It graphic and I chose a sentiment to express the feelings we all have, or in my case felt, about our mums.

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the STAMPlorations Things with Wings Blog Hop Party.

So I went with butterflies and as there was so much blue in the challenge graphic that decided my colours.

I stamped a strip of butterflies down the left hand side, using second generation ink to get the different shades. I added that wonderful encouraging sentiment from STAMPlorations and a few tiny gems too.
