Monday Moment
Such a bright and eye catching photo inspiration at Addicted to Stamps and More this week, how could I resist? Well I didn't even try!
I homed in on the cupcakes and banner, oh and the colours of course!
I started by die cutting the stitched window and then stamped the cupcake onto the centre circle before popping it straight back into its hole. Will I ever fall out of love with the inlaid die technique? Not looking like it at the moment.
I added a couple of banners across the top left corner and I was done.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Celebrate With Cake & Garlands Galore
Inks: SU, tmpting turquoise, real red; Memento, tuxedo black
Pro marker: poppy
Die: MFT Die-namics, Peek-a-Boo Circle Window
And look:
YAY! I was a winner! So thrilled!
Thanks so much for visiting today, I really love that you found the time. And keep crafting!

Uniko Challenge #32 Reminder
Just dropping in today to give your memories a little jog about the current challenge at Uniko.
The theme is masculine, so I decided to make a birth congratulations card for a new baby boy arrival.
I die cut the stitched rectangular mats and then stamped and hand cut the little onesie. I matched the ink colour to the dotted card as close as I could and stamped the heart banners across the top left corner of the white mat.
A simple 'welcome' sentiment and my card was done.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Sweet Baby, Garlands Galore
Inks: SU, soft sky; Memento, tuxedo black
Now don't forget the fabulous prizes on offer for this challenge - check them out at Uniko. Remember the challenge stays open until 10th June, so you've loads of time to enter.
Thanks for looking today, I really appreciate your time. And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #175
Today's sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches brings the May challenges to a close. And it's a wonderful sketch designed by Caro.
Here's my card:
I was pondering for a little while about how to get the different sizes from the sketch onto my card and decided to try out some butterflies. I punched and die cut a set in white card just to practise the placement and see if the sizes would work. I intended to repeat this in patterned paper, but liked the clean simple look of the white so went with this instead.
I finished off my card with a few gems and an appropriate sentiment and, of course, that one rounded corner.
Supplies:
Stamp: Stamplorations, Art Marks
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Marianne, butterfly
Punches: Martha Stewart, triple butterfly, butterfly; SU, butterfly
Embellishments: Papermania, adhesive stone iridescent
How will you interpret the sketch? Be inspired by the DT cards at CC&S and then get busy.
Thanks for your time today, I appreciate your visit to my blog. And keep crafting!

The Male Room Challenge #36
I seem to remember saying that I would make a scrapbook page as my DT creation for The Male Room whenever the theme was suitable. Well the new challenge starting today was perfect.
So off we went for a day out to a local farm park - quite a big event for us as it was the first time we'd taken Ed out on our own and were a little apprehensive.
There were so many photos and memories about this day that I went for a project life style layout. I used Becky higgins cards as a tarting point and then had great fun adding stickers, washi, words and phrases.
I added two circles, an arrow, a washi strip and stickers to the above card and journalling and an arrow to the card below.
Supplies:
Cards: Becky Higgins, Be Fearless
Stamps: Uniko, Simply Said
Ink: SU, chocolate chip
Die: Technique Tuesday, that arrow card; Xcut, Homespun Heart; MFT Die-namics, ampersand
Punch: Woodware, 1" circle
Stickers: Snap, Carpe Diem; MAMBI, arrow sticks
And here's a photo of the flip side of this page. This one is all about the play areas at the farm.
Now all you need to do is be inspired ny the rest of The Male Room DT and enter this challenge. Looking forward to seeing your critter creations.

Tuesday Talk
When I saw the colours in the photo inspiration at Inkspirational I was totally sucked into this challenge.
Amazingly vibrant and totally stunning!
Here's my card:
I stamped the turquoise hardwood and then die cut a double stitched rectangle from it. I also cut the base card using the same die so that I could pop the first one back into the hole. Still hooked on that inlaid die technique!
I then stamped and hand cut the beautiful flower head and popped it up on foam pads before adhering just above the very simple sentiment.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms I, Simply Said; SU, Hardwood
Inks: SU, tempting turquoise; Memento, rose bud, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched recatngle stax
Fabulous to have you drop by my blog today, thanks so much. And keep crafting!

AAA Cards - Game #65 - 2nd Birthday Bloghop
At last it's here - the AAA Cards 2nd birthday and humungous celebration party! So many ways to win prizes it's just amazing.
Look at all these incredible sponsors who so generously donated our birthday party treats:
AAA Cards was my first ever DT gig and I've been part of this fabulous challenge right from the very start, so it's my 2nd celebration too. Here's my birthday celebration card:
I chose some bright colours and a Digi Stamp Boutique image for my card. I coloured the image then die the stitched circle and placed it back into its aperture and added a die cut number. The greeting is also a die cut which I curved round the bottom of the inlaid circle.
I'm thinking I'll store this card away until my little grandson has his 2nd birthday in December.
Supplies:
Stamps: Digi Stamp Boutique, Birthday Nell
Dies: Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables, happy birthday border, Louie's 123s
Would you like to know how to win the fabulous prizes on offer? Check out this out then:
Here's my question: I love balloons on cards as they remind me of fun and laughter. What is your favourite thing to put on cards and why?
Just leave your answer in my comments and I'll choose my favourite to win a £10.00 gift certificate from Digi Stamp Boutique.
And as you're going to want to visit all the other DT blogs to find their questions and treasure hunt words, here's the blog hop order:
So much going on! I'll leave you to soak it all up and get busy entering our multiple ways to win.
Good luck!
Thanks for your visit today. And keep crafting!

Saturday Slot
The challenge at CASology has the cue card of STENCIL and since I've had a stencil I've been itching to use this seemed like a good opportunity to break it out of its polybag. I've also struck lucky with it being CAS week at ATSM and flowers mentioned in the Inspired By Words Time Out challenge, so my card is going into all three challenges.
So here's my card:
I'm so loving this aptly named Happy Flower stencil. I chose some warm sunny colours and used my inkylicious brushes to ink through it. It's always such a wonderful surprise to see what's happened when you lift the stencil!
A simple but bold sentiment finished off my one layer CAS card. This card is destined for a friend's birthday coming up next month - don't think she reads my blog as she's not into crafting.
Supplies:
Stencil: Artplorations, Happy Flower
Stamp: Clearly Besotted, Happy Birthday
Inks: Ranger distress, mustard seed, spiced marmalde, picked raspberry, lucky clover; Memento, tuxedo black
Huge thanks for taking the time to visit today, so pleased to see you here. And keep crafting!

Stamploration Guest Designer
I'm back today as Guest Designer for Stamplorations to remind you about their current Stamps & Anything Goes May Sketch Challenge.
On my card I'm using some newly arrived stamps. Such a quick service at Stamplorations and the post was being friendly too so my package was ordered and delivered in just over a fortnight - impressive!
I stamped the pink and turquoise splatters first and then overstamped with the daisy row. I added the scribble circles on top of the lot!
I love this sentiment and am drawn more and more to this type of quote rather than the usual 'happy birthday'.
Suppplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Art Marks, Noteworthy, Daisy Row
Inks: SU, rich razzleberry, melon mambo, tempting turquoise; Memento, tuxedo black
Such a fabulous sketch don't you think? I've made two very different cards using it - first one here - and I know you'll be impressed by what the rest of the DT at Stamplorations has created.
Thanks for looking today, I do so appreciate your time. And keep crafting!

Uniko Challenge #32
Today sees the start of the May Uniko Challenge and this month we want to see masculine cards. Right up my street then!
Here's my card:
I started my card by smooshing some mustardy yellow ink onto watercolour card - how brave is that using a yellow instead of blue? Once this was dry I stamped the black elements and added a trio of same colour as the background star clusters to highlight the main sentiment.
I balanced the star clusters with a couple of enamel dots to finsih off my card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, All Occasion Sentiments #2, Simply Said, Background Builders Triangulate, stars from Balloon Bash
Ink: SU, hello honey; Memento, tuxedo black
Embellishments: Doodlebug sprinkles, beetle black asst.
We have a wonderful Guest Designer joining us this month - Tanja - so do go check out her blog. As always there are superb prizes to be won - check them out and the DT inspirational creations here at Uniko.
Thanks for visiting today, I really value your time. And keep crafting!
