Wednesday Words

Today I'm using the colours from the MFT Color Challenge and that beautiful striped heart die and one of their very cute pirate stamps.

http://www.cardchallenges.com/2018/01/mft-color-challenge-86.html

Here's my card:

I started by stamping, colouring and hand cutting the pirate and then die cut the heart from the card base. I popped a piece of pink card behind the heart and stamped the greeting.

I added a tiny enamel heart to the pirate's hat and he was mounted onto pads before adhering to the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Party Like A Pirate
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, peek-a-boo striped heart
Pens: copic, G24, YR16, B23, C3, C5, C7, E000, E00, R20
Embellishment: SU, enamel heart peekaboo peach

Thanks for spending some time today looking at my blog, it's much appreciated.

Tuesday Talk

Another squeezed in just in time card! Today it's for the Time Out Inspired by Words Challenge.

http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-101.html

And those words led me straight to my Visible Image stash and I chose their fabulous Tomorrow Doesn't Exist set.

This was a simple stamp and mat creation using a classic colour combination. I added three trios of little enamel buttons to pick up on the paper and add to the flow of the stamps.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Tomorrow Doesn't Exist
Inks: Mememnto, tuxedo black
Paper: Forever Friends, Classic Secadence
Embellishments: Dots from my stash

It's been fabulous having you visit my blog today, huge thanks for your time.  And keep crafting!

https://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-256-sketch.html

Here's my card created using the CC&S sketch:

I switched up the circle into a diecut heart, stamped the flower and inlaid it back into the base card. I stamped the three little hearts for the horizontal block from the sketch.

A simple stamped sentiment and I was finished.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Sending a Smile; Uniko, heart trio from Flower Power #3
Inks: SU, sweet sugarplum; Memento, tuxedo black

Sunday Slot

Today I'm joining in with the Less is More one layer challenge where the theme is CUTE.

http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-363-olc-cute.html

And I do have quite a few cute stamps in my stash, so it was hard to pick just one for this card!

So I resisted all the teddybear and most of the animal stamps I own and plumped for this tiny little fellow with the big grin.  And because he's so small it sort of dictated that my card was going to be super CAS with just a grounding strip and a sentiment.

And he is very CUTE!!

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Sending a Smile
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pen: Copic, R29

Well the stamp may be small, but I'm big on my thanks to you for visiting my blog today, great to have your comapny.

And keep crafting!

Saturday Spot

I've had a few new goodies arrive this week and today sees the first airing of a die and stamp set that I'm really loving at the moment. I've used them to make a card for the challenge at Addicted to CAS where the code word is OMBRE.

http://addictedtocas.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/addicted-to-cas-challenge-128-ombre.html

Here's my card:

I started by creating my pink ombre background using picked raspberry distress ink. I simply added extras layers as I worked my way across the card.  The very gorgeous peek-a-boo heart die was cut out from the card base and placed over my ombre inked panel.

I then stamped the little bird and added a little ombre colouring to the heart and finished off my card with a lovely sentiment. I think I'm going to do a version of this card for my youngest son's wedding day in April.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Sending a Smile
Inks: Ranger distress, picked raspberry; Mememnto, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, Peek-a-boo Striped Heart
Pens: Copic, RV02, RV04, RV09

So thrilled to have shared some of your time today, huge thanks for dropping by.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

Another day, another tag! And this time it's for TAGplorations All About Winter Challenge. This one is also going into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

There's something really satisfying about creating on a small space, a bit like on an ATC or Pocket Letter I suppose but without the size restrictions. I love making tags!

My jolly little snowman got an airung for this tag. He's from way back when and is a wooden block mounted stamp. Not my favourite way to stamp as the block gets in the way of seeing where you're stamping, but he's just too cute to discard and I've used him just about every year since his purchase.

Once the snowman was stamped I was then able to place and stamp the snowflakes and greeting and have a little fun colouring. I finished off my tag with a ribbon and funky fibre tie.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funstamps, Scribble Snowman; Uniko, Background Blocks Falling Snowflakes; STAMPlorations, Helenium
Inks: SU, soft sky; Mememnto, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Pens: Flexmarkers, pebble blue, sea mist; Copic, N!, C1, C3; Sakura Gelly Roll, clear star
Ribbon and fibre from my stash

Huge thanks for dropping by today, it's always fun to have visitors to my blog.

And keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts

I'm here today to share a tag I made for the challenge over at Create a Smile.

http://createasmilestamps.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/we-dare-you-to-create-smile-tag-it.html
Here's my tag, it's a double held together with twine and funky fibres:

I stamped the wall and bear and then masked them off before adding the sunrays through the stencil. I rotated the stencil and added some fainter rays by not pressing so hard on the ink blenders. I coloured some of the bricks in matching colours and added a trio of enamel dots round the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Create a Smile, Poppin Over
Inks: SU, soft suede; Rnger distress, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Pens: Copic
Embellishments: Sparklets enamel dots; twine & fibres from my stash

I'm also popping this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Tag It!

So pleased to have had your company today, thanks for your time. And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the CUTplorations Challenge.

https://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/cutplorations-january95.html

Loving the colours in that photo although my card is far from a winter scene!

I used an ARTploration stencil to create the flowers - has to be my most favourite stencil ever - in ink colours to match the photo. I added a horizontal line across to echo the horizon line from the photo.

I then die cut the flowers into a stitched rectangle, added a black mat and popped it all back on to the original card. The 'awesome' is also a die cut and I added a stamped BE just above it.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, BOLD SENTIMENTS hashtag authentic
Inka: Ranger distress, wilted violet, milled lavender, mustard seed, spiced marmalde, picked raspberry; Versafine, onyx black
Die: CUTplorations, awesome; MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles
Stencil: ARTplorations, happy flowers

Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, I loved having your company for a while.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a Wedding card I made after seeing the beautiful photo prompt at Inkspirational.

http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-152-violin-photo.html

For some reason the white violin put me in mind of the treble clef die from CAS-usal Fridays, think it may have been those black curls in the photo, so that's where I began.

I die cut the treble clef several times to get more of a 3D look and then added it my base card. The flowers were inspired by the roes cluster in the photo and I stamped and hand cut them before popping them over to the side of the sentiment.

I finished off with a trio of white pearls to echo the photo.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Bridal Bouquet & Wedding Day
Inks: SU, pink pirouette, sweet sugarplum; Memento, tuxedo black
Die: CAS-ual Fridays, Treble Clef
Embellishments: pearls from my stash

Huge thanks for dropping by today, I hope you enjoyed your visit.

And keep crafting!

Monday Moments

I was so thrilled to be have my card from last week's CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge picked as a winner - HERE. It was one of those I'm not really sure about cards so thank you CC&S for the reassurance you've given me.

And while I was over there saying thanks I spotted the beautiful colours from this week's challenge. Just couldn't resist!

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-255-colours.html

So here's my card:

I had to substitute the SU perfect plum for Memento sweet plum  and simply stamped the three colours in a column. The oh so gorgeous Uniko rose bud was then stamped on top and a little quote from Precious Remembrance Shop was added below.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Pure Florals Rose; Ptecious Remembrance Shop, New Day
Inks: SU, wisteria wonder, soft sky; Memento, tuxedo black, sweet plum

Thanks for looking today, it's been lovely to have you visit my blog. I hope you'll come back again soon.

And keep crafting!

AAA Cards Challenge #107 - Chilled

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge over at AAA Cards. And I'm loving the chilly aquas from the badge graphic.

https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2018/01/cas-game-107-chilled.html

So with thoughts about making a snow scene card I created my aqua background using distress oxide ink and added a die cut snowy slope.

Then I got to thinking about how chilled is also used to describe a relaxed and enjoyable feeling. And as I wanted to feature stamps by our new sponsor CAS-ual Fridays I chose one of their tutu ladies and added some glittery aqua to her skirt and hairband. What better way to chill out than dancing!

Here's my tip for keeping your card AAA Cards CAS - if you've created a scene with an all over pattern like my aqua sky simply frame it and add to a larger card base to ensure you still have plenty of that all important non-patterned, non-textured empty 'white' space.

Supplies:
Stamps: CASual Fridays, Tutu
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, salty ocean
Dies: MFT Die-namics, basic stitched edges; Lawn Fawn, stitched rectangle frames
Pen: Spectrum Noir Sparkle, aquamarine

We've two incredibly talented ladies joining us as Guest Designers for this challenge - Anita and Milla. Go check out their cards and find links to their blogs HERE. And of course there's all the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the AAA Cards DT to be found HERE too.

So pleased you dropped by today, thanks a bunch for your time.

And keep crafting!

Saturday Spot

Today I'm sharing a neat little card I made with the STAMPlorations Theme & Sketch Challenge in mind.

https://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/january-challenge.html   https://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/january-challenge.html

I started by picking a patterned card for the outside border and then stamped the image onto white card and coloured it to match the border.

I chose this stamp because it had lots of curves and for its overall simplicity to contrast with busy border pattern.

I love this type of inspirational sentiment quote too.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, New Beginning
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangle
Pens: Copic, B00, B02, V13, V16, B35, G94, G99; Wink of Stella, gold & clear

Thanks for your time today, it's been great having your company for a while.

And keep crafting!
