AAA Cards fb Weekend Workout

This weekend the AAA Cards facebook group has a just for fun challenge to make a CAS card without using any stamps.

Here's my card:

So what's the next best thing to stamps - well stencils and die cuts of course! I used A Colorful Life's Half Sun stencil in hot shades of yellow, orange and red and then finished it of with a striking die cut from CUTplorations. How quick simple and easy was that!

Stencil: A Colorful Life, Half Sun

Wednesday Words

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the AAA Cards fb August lottery.

Melissa won the July lottery and is now hosting the August lottery and she has chosen the theme of Rainbow.

No photo description available.

My brain immediately thought of unicorns and so that's where I started:

Once the unicorn was stamped, coloured and die cut I then turned my thoughts to how I wanted to present it. AAA Cards is all about CAS so I simply added a plain white stitched heart behind the unicorn and stamped a greeting.

Supplies:
Stamps: Neat & Tangled Magical Day + matching die
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Lawn Fawn, Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables
Pens: Copic, C1, R29, YR04, Y13, YG17, B23, BV13, V15; Wink of Stella, clear

Fancy taking part in the AAA Cards fb lottery? Well follow this link to find all the details about how to join in with the fun.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I really appreciate it.

And keep crafting!

Sunday Slot

I'm back today playing along with the Weekend Workout at AAA CAS Cards facebook group. This weekend we've been challenged to use digi stamps. And you know I love digi stamps!

Here's my card:

I used this very beautiful flower cluster from STAMPlorations, coloured it with my Copic pens and then hand cut it away from the frame that it was sitting in.

In keeping with the digi idea I also created a sentiment on my computer. I print it out on paper first, then attach the card on top of the paper with removable glue, pop it back into the printer and print it again. The font is called Sunshine Boulevard.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations Digi, Spring Blooms Lily Spray
Pens : Copic, RV02, RV09, RV17, RV66, V15, V17, YG63, YG67, Y18, Y38, C3, E000, BV29; Uniball Micro, black

Huge thanks for dropping by today, hope you're having a fabulous weekend.

And keep crafting!

Monday Moment

The AAA Cards Facebook CAS card lottery for July has the theme of stripes and today I'm sharing the card I created for it.

I opted for a far less colourful version of stripes than the lottery graphic and kept to black, white & red.

I started by stamping the uniko pinstripes and then used the Uniko butterfly die to cut out the window. This was all matted onto dark red card stock and a simple sentiment banner was placed across the butterfly window.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Blocks Pinstripe, Simply Said
Inks: Versfine Clair, nocturne
Dies: Uniko, English country Garden Butterflies; Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables

Do you like the idea of maybe receiving a whole bunch of beautiful CAS cards? Well come on over to the AAA Cards fb group and join in with this event. Even if you don't win this time round you'll meet some friendly folks and get a ton of inspiration.

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Maaike is hosting the June AAA Cards fb group's lottery and she has chosen At Sea as her theme. here's the card I created with this in mind:

I started by inking and stencilling a bluey green sea background circle. I then stamped some seaweed, bubbles, a starfish and a shell on top.

I then stamped, coloured and die cut the seahorse and fish and popped them up on pads before adhering on top of the background scene. the sentiment was stamped to finish it all off.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Sweet Seahorse, Fairy Tale Mermaid
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, cracked pistachio, salty ocean, peacock feathers
Die: Clearly Besotted, Fairy Tale Mermaid

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the Weekend Workout on the AAA Cards fb group. Have you joined this group yet? We're a very friendly bunch and we have three fun events each month - a card exchange, a card lottery and a weekend workout challenge - and lots of chatter too. come on over and give it a go!

Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting, chess and table

This Weekend Workout challenge was to make a card using only black and white. Here's my take:

I used Uniko's Life Is A Song. I know music brings a whole spectrum of colour into people's lives, but I was thinking more along the lines that sheet music is usually black and white.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Life is a Song
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne

Enormous thanks for dropping by today, it's always more fun when I get company.

And keep crafting!
