STAMPlorations Digi Inspiration

Hello! 

I'm so pleased you've dropped by today as I'm showcasing some beautiful digi stamps from STAMPlorations

Today I'm using the Springtime Blooms and Coffee stamps. This is a set of 3 top view spring blooms coffee cups, 3 floral curly frames and a bonus sheet of printable tags.

I'm starting with four of the printable tags which I have made into a little booklet to store memory photos.

Once I had printed them I coloured them using a soft palette of purples and yellows. I matted them onto black and purple card stock, punched a hole and tied them together with some ribbons.

The photos were adhered onto the back of each tag and I cut one extra purple tag using one of the others as a template and to add some journalling about them.

I used a couple of STAMPlorations sets to add sentiment to the tags - Fond Expressions 2 & Noteworthy. 

Well I couldn't resist using one more photo of my beautiful granddaughter for this showcase and created a scrapbook page with one of the top view Springtime Blooms & Coffee digis.

I printed out an extra copy of this digi and used one of the flowers to cover the coffee cup handle to convert it into a circular photo frame.

The title is a STAMPloration stamp - Say It Big Amazing. The page was completed with some enamel shapes and journalling.

Monday Moments

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page I created using the challenge theme from Kraft Plus.

August's theme is Nursery Rhymes and I immediately thought of this photo when I saw their graphic:

Obvious to me, but probably not to the everyone else. Here's the rest of the page which explains it all:

Such an extremely cute age when absolutely nothing that goes on around him is missed and every opportunity to copy is grabbed! Turn your back for a second and he's there!

Some of the word stickers I used were on a white background which looked too stark with all the browns so I coloured over with a Copic pen to blend them in a bit more.

AAA Cards #147 Along the Edge + optional twist Inspired by a Song

A new challenge has started today at AAA Cards. The theme for the next two weeks is to create a CAS card with everything along the edge. And there's also the added fun optional twist of being inspired by a song if you'd like to add to the challenge.

Uniko Revisit Blog Hop

I'm delighted to be here today to take part in the Uniko Revisit Blog Hop. This month we are taking another look at the Big & Bold Wish stamp set and its matching dies.

      

I've made a couple of bright fun cards to showcase the versatility of these sets:

I've been trying to think outside of the box and used the candle stamp and flame in a bit of a quirky way. I chose two colours of ink and stamped them in a fairly random way. I then stamped and die cut the wish sentiment, stamped the BIG! and matted the whole thing onto matching yellow and red card stock.

And that led me on to thinking about creating a whole frame using the candle stamps. I used a piece of squared grid paper to help me line up the position and depth of each stamping. I kept with the same colours of inks, but this time just stamped the whole greeting into the middle of the card.

I matted this second card in the same way as the first.

Friday Focus

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using a new to me idea for a stencil which is the theme of the challenge at CAS Stencil.

Here's my card:

I used the Light Loops stencil from A Colorful Life which is a 3" x 6" size and sprayed through it with some watered down ultramarine brusho that had dried up and needed wetting again. Then to add more colour I mixed in some fresh purple powder to the bottle and sprayed through the stencil a second time. And got in a bit of a mess - nothing new there when I use Brusho inks!

So after a clean up and giving the ink time to dry out I trimmed it all down leaving the spatter that occurred on either side of the stencil - you can tell from this the sort of mess I got into! I then stamped a greeting both sides of the stencil pattern, added a dark purple strip and called it done.

Thursday Thoughts

A Christmas card to share today using the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here's my card:

I frotated the sketch because it suited the image better and as there were several layers on the sketch I kept them all white to keep the card CAS. I used the gnome is from Polkadoodles 25 December, so cute and fab to colour.  I kept the colours really simple to stop the card from looking too busy and stay CAS.

I added a simple block sentiment from Uniko and I was done.
