Pinch and punch it's the first of the month! So time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday.
Ouch vellum! That had my brain whirring!
After much research around the internet I came up with two ideas that really appealed - dry embossing and heat embossing. I started with the Funky Fossil flower and heat embossed it in white and pooped it on top of a die cut purple circle.
I really like how the purple shows through the vellum in a muted way and that gave me the idea for the overlay of dry embossed vellum. Then I placed another die cut circle behind it and love the way the purple shows through in yet another tone.
The greeting was added on top of the overlay but tucked under the top purple circle. Both these elements allow for the vellum to be adhered to the base card without the glue showing through - always a tricky thing to adhere vellum.
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Funky Florals; Uniko Simply Said Birthday
