Uniko September Release- Introducing Christmas Sentiments

Welcome to day 2 of the introductions to Uniko's September release.

One of those how did I manage without it sentiment sets.

I combined one of the sentiments with a stamp from yesterday's introduction of Background Builders: Winter Wonderland and a stencil released last year, Christmas Pop Trio.

Supplies:
Stamps; Uniko, Christmas Sentiments & Background Builders: Winter Wonderland
Stencil: Uniko, Christmas Pop Trio
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, kitsch flamingo, seedless preserves, dried marigold; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, R83, RV66, YR02; Wink of Stella, clear

My next card pairs up the sentiments with an old and very popular favourite - Winter Foliage. A really clean and simple card suitable for batch production in a hurry.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Sentiments, Winter Foliage
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, cottage ivy, lady bug, bamboo leaves
Pen: Wink of Stella, clear

For my final share today I really tried hard to make the sentiments a key element of my card and stamped them repeatedly down the left hand side. I then added in the gorgeous contemporary poinsettia from Season of Beauty and some of the small snowflakes from Background Builders Winter Wonderland.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Sentiments, Background Builders: Winter Wonderland, Season of Beauty
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, rhubarb stalk, morocco

Well that's day 2 all done and dusted. There's a new addition to Uniko stencils to be introduced tomorrow. See you then!

Uniko September Release - Introducing Background Builders: Winter Wonderland

Hi all!

Today see the first introduction to Uniko's September release.

A gorgeous set of Christmas themed borders!

For my first card I created a Northern Lights background strip using distress inks and then stamped the scenic border straight on top. The greeting is from a new set of Christmas sentiments being introduced tomorrow.

Supplies:
Stamps; Uniko, Background Builder: Winter Wonderland, sentiment from Christmas Sentiments
inks: Ranger distress, mustard seed, picked raspberry, cracked pistachio, chipped sapphire; Versafine Clair, nocturne

My second card used all four stamps from the set and I've tried to create a chilly feel using icy blue ink combined with black.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background builder: Winter Wonderland
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, tumbled glass; Memento, tuxedo black

My final card for today brings the temperature up a shade and uses warm tones. Totally fallen in love with the small snowflakes included in this set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builder: Winter Wonderland
inks: Memento, espresso truffle, peanut brittle, toffee crunch

Are you smitten already? Tomorrow's introduction will be one of those really useful go to sentiment sets that Uniko does so well. See you then!

Thanks for looking today, I really appreciate it.

Time For Tea Designs September Challenge Reminder 3 - Autumn Colours

I'm here today to remind you about the Autumn Colours challenge going on at T4TD.

I've not gone for the usual Autumn scene card today but indulged my love of all things chocolatey instead - well the colours are very similar and that could be why I love Autumn so much!

I've used the adorable mouse and cupcake from Hello Cupcake and coloured them up in browns.

I then framed it up with a caramel card using the Mini Slimline Scallop die and popped in a piece of paper from Brighter Days as my background.

Supplies:
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, R02, R89, Y21, Y26, Y28, Y35, E25, E27, E35, E37; Sakura white glaze

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate it.

AAA Cards Challenge #199 - No Layers + optional twist Hugs

Today I'm sharing my DT card for the new AAA Cards Challenge.

The card has to have no layers at all and there's the optional twist of Hugs. I went with the optional twist and immediately got out my Tracey Hey Hug It Out stamp set.

I inked up the bottom panel and used the Falling Hearts stencil from Funky Fossil in the same ink colours to add the impression of dimension. Then I stamped straight on top with the cute koalas, sentiment and a few of the smaller stamps from the set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tracey Hey/Georgia Hey, Hug It Out
Inks: Memento, grape jelly, rose bud; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Uniko September/October Challenge - Anything Goes + optional twist Autumn Colours

It's time for the next challenge at Uniko.

Anything Goes is such an easy theme and I decided to opt for a coffee themed card using Block Party Coffee Love

I created a splattery background of spilt coffee using the Explosion stencil. I'm thinking some of the colours are quite autumny so it looks like I've added in the twist too.

Supplies:
Stencil: Uniko, Explosion
Inks: SU, soft suede; Memento, toffee crunch, peanut brittle, potters clay, cantaloupe, espresso truffle

Do go visit the Uniko blog to see what the rest of the DT and the Guest Designer Nonni have created to inspire you - HERE

Time For Tea Designs September Challenge Reminder 2 - Autumn Colours

Have you played along with the glorious Autumn Colours in Time For Tea Designs September challenge?

Well here's a bit more DT inspiration for you.

Although the colours are autumnal I used them in more of a summery way and focussed on the beautiful burgundy reds the leaves turn as my starting point using the Beehive Slimline die.

The background was created using the Bokeh Bubbles stencil inked up in some sunshiny yellows.

Then I finished it all off with the delightful bees from Bee Happy.

Supplies:
Stamps: T4TD, Bee Happy + dies
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, dried marigold, wild honey; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, RV00, R20, R89, B000, Y17, Y18, Y19, Y26, Y28, Y38, YR12, YR27, YR68, E35, E37; Sakura black & white glaze; Uniball, black fine liner

Funky Fossil September Release Introduction Day 5

Hello and welcome to the last day of introductions to Funky Fossil's September release.

Soon be time to make those decisions, but before you do take a look at today's Christmas sets - It's Christmas, oh my some sweet gnomes and the most gorgeous ever Folk Tree die.

I'm starting with the gnomes - too irresistible!

This is my favourite gnome from the set - just love how he's rushing along and almost spilling that pile of presents. I kept my card very simple and just added in a strip of the Merry & Bright washi at the top and bottom of the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, It's Christmas
Washi: Funky Fossil, Merry & Bright
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, C1, C3, Y26, Y28, E00, R32, R29, R29

The Merry & Bright washi gets another outing on my next card and this time i chose the cookie eating gnome as my focal image.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, It's Christmas
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E00, E50, E51, E33, E35, R32, W3, W5, R39, R59, R89; Sakura white gelly roll

My final share uses the gorgeous and detailed Folk Tree die. It's been designed with a perforated centre so that it can easily be folded into a 3D project - I'm seeing a whole banner across the mantelpiece.

But for today I just created an all white card by stacking up four layers of the tree.

I'd be interested to know how you see the tree. I know it's a stacked up pile, but my eyes keep telling me it's an inverted tree with embossed elements.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Christmas Small Print
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Funky Fossil, Folk Tree

Ok, so that's the end of the introductions and you've now seen everything that will be in store tomorrow at 9.00am UK time.

Have you made your mind up? I'll be back tomorrow with a few more cards using the September release. Hope to see you then!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I always love to have your company for a while.

Time For Tea Designs September Challenge Reminder 1 - Autumn Colours

I'm here today to remind you about the September Challenge at Time For Tea Designs.

Autumn is my favourite season as I love the colours, the cooler evenings and the often bright sunny days.

And as Autumn is always associated with trees and leaves in my head that's the route I went with my card.

The tree is cut four times in autumnal shades using the Tree of Love Cover Plate die. I then pieced the negative bits back into the background.

I used the cute elephant from Life's Up And Downs and made sure he was all snug with the addition of the woolly hat.

And a tree wouldn't be complete without some birds. These two are from the Brighter Days stamp set.

Supplies:
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, R37, R59, Y18, Y19, Y21, Y26, Y28, YR16, YR68, E29, E37; Sakura white glaze
Card: Papermill Direct

As well as my card there are two absolutely outstanding cards on the challenge blog created by Trina P. How awesome is her colouring - you have to go take a look, HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate it so much.

Stay safe and keep crafting!
