Here we are already with the last day of the introductions to Uniko's August release. There are two sets today and I've made a couple of cards with each.
Something completely different for me with this first card. I've used rainbow foil as a background!
I wanted a bit of a weathered look to the foil, so I scratched it up a bit and then added the fussy cut hello on top. The rest of the greeting was stamped below.
I die cut a stitched line at the top and bottom and then popped this panel up on foam and adhered it on top of a line of rainbow striped washi tape.
My next card has a repeated stamping of the big and bold hello, just changing up the colour each time. I used my misti tool and partially re-inked the stamp each time to create an ombre effect. I finished off by adding the little flower motif from this set in black to match the base card colour.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Big & Bold Hello
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, melon mambo, tempting turquoise, bermuda bay
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
And then there is this very beautiful and stunningly gorgeous Framed Florals stamp to delight you!
A delightful medley of Bev's iconic flower and leaf sets. I felt it really didn't need much fiddling to show off its beauty, so I simply stamped it in black onto some ditsy floral paper and added it onto a favourite purply pink base card.
I stamped the sentiment from Big & Bold Hello onto matching paper and added a strip to peep out either side.
My final card uses a simple, but very pretty colour scheme, and a bit of fussy cutting to add extra dimension to some of the flowers and leaves.
The greeting is once again from Big & Bold Hello.
supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Framed Florals, Big & Bold Hello
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, old olive
Pen: Copic, E000, V12
Well have you made your decision yet? So difficult to choose isn't it? Be sure to pop in tomorrow to see the complete reveal of all the stamp sets and some more sample cards to help you make your mind up. Oh and of course details of how to win the entire release!
Until then, keep crafting!
What a great idea to add extra dimension to your Framed Florals, fab cards. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome foiled weathering and something that adds a fun texture to it that I'd never have though of doing, thanks for the tip! I'd not thought of stamping the Framed Florals on patterned paper either and the results are FAB. I must dig out some DP and have a go at this! Another FABulous showcase of Uniko, thank you. Hugs Bev x
