Uniko August Release - Introducing Background Builders Hexagons & Beautiful

Are you ready for some cards using the Uniko August new release goodies?  Well I've four cards to share and two stamp sets.

I'm starting with the aptly named flower stamp - Beautiful.

I've kept pretty close to my CAS roots with this card, but used colours that are far removed from my beloved pinks and purples. I turned the stamp over and stamped a background splash of colour before stamping it the correct way up in the same colour ink.

I then partially inked it up with black and stamped it again to add a little more detail. The greeting is from the same set but the stem is from Beautiful Blooms I.

This is another favourite card layout for me. I decided to let the beauty of the flowers shine out so I only used touches of blue in the centres and left the rest uncoloured.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful, Beautiful Blooms I
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, peekaboo peach, old olive
Pen: Copic, B12
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched basic edges

The next two cards use a hexagon stamp set - a great new addition to the Background Builders series.

I used a Kaleidacolor ink pad and stamped the hexagons into two corners of my card. And the greeting is a little peek at one of tomorrow's introductions.

For my next card I stamped the hexagons all the way round the edges of a square card and then added colour using Copic pens.

I added a greeting and a fussy cut bee from the previous Uniko release - Bee Happy. I also brushed a little peach ink around the edges to add a bit of a distressed feel.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builders Hexagons, Bee Happy & Big & Bold Hello
Inks: SU, baked brown sugar, peekaboo peach; Kaledacolor, creole spice
Pens: Copic, Y35, Y38, E33, E35

Thanks for looking today. Tomorrow I'll be back introducing the last two stamp sets from this new release and then on Sunday they'll be the full reveal and your chance to buy or maybe win your favourites.

In the mean time keep crafting!
