Sunday Slot

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here's my card;

I made a watercoloured background sheet by smooshing three colours of distress ink. Once this was dry I die cut a stitched circle and the horizontal strip and adhered these to the white panel.

I stamped the greeting and grass silhouette from Funky Fossil's In The Meadow on top.

I finished off by matting the panel onto a marine blue card base.

Supplies:
Inks: Ranger distress, picked raspberry, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Card: Papermill Direct, marine blue, super smooth white
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackanbles; Lil'inker, stitched mats long & skinny rectangles

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, it's always so much more fun when you do.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Saturday Slot

Today I'm playing along with the Flower challenge at Addicted to CAS.

Here's my card:

I used the Funky Fossil newly released Scandi Garden stamp set and my favourite coloured Kaleidacolor ink pad.

I simply stamped the sentiment and then the can of flowers on top starting wit the dark purple at the bottom and the hot pink at the top.

Ink: Kaleidacolor, Berry Blaze

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you dropped by.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the challenge at Less is More.

This is such a pretty colour combination in real life, but boy is it difficult to take a decent photograph!

I wanted the card for a wedding anniversary, thought the colours were so appropriate. I used a cream card - I know it looks white but it is definitely cream - and heat embossed the flowers and greeting in white. I also added extra white colour to the flowers and leaves with a gel pen and Miya pencils.

Here's a closer look, but the colours are still all wrong!

Supplies:
Stamps: clearly Besotted, Floral Fancy, Mr & Mrs
Inks: Versamark + WOW! opaque bright white

Thanks for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Tuesday Talk

Hi everyone!

I've been so busy creating cards for Funky Fossil's May Release that my scrapbooking has got a bit neglected. Putting that to right today with this page for the challenge at Sketches in Thyme.

Here it is. How did you get to be two already?

I picked up on the colours from his clothes and tricycle and collected together some scraps and adhered them to a blue 12" x 12" sheet. I matted the photos onto dark blue to give them more definition and then got busy adding the words and embellishments.

I used a lot of elements from Doodlebug's Dragon Tails and also die cut a spiro circle and labels.

I nearly forgot to add the 2 but found a spot for it at the top of the page and then finished it all of with some splatters of white ink going diagonally down the page.

Supplies:
Papers: Doodlebug, Dragon's Tails; Lilybee Designs, Pinwheel; scraps from my stash
Dies: Lawn Fawn die, Louie's 123s; Xcut, spiro circles; labels die I think is Marianne
Stickers: Doodlebug, Dragon's Tails; Elle's Studio, puffy hearts; Paperchase, puffy stars

Huge thanks for looking today, I've really enjoyed having your company.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Funky Fossil May New Release & Hochanda Show

I'm back again today with a final share of cards from the Funky Fossil new May release. Check them all out, write your wish list, tune in to Hochanda at 3.00pm and 7.00pm for some more inspiring ideas from Sarah and then get those supplies jumping into your basket.

Here's another look at all five stamp sets:

And here's my cards:

I couldn't resist building another little scene with the fun Bees Knees stamp set. I paired it up with the In The Clouds stencil and some blooms from Plant A Garden. After I'd coloured up the toadstools I added the hilly background and then quite a bit of masking went on to get the depth of look I wanted with the blooms behind the toadstools.

All three bees have a layer of Wink of Stella on their wings and glossy accents on their chubby bodies and are popped up onto foam pads.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Bees Knees, Plant A Garden
Stencil: Funky Fossil, In The Clouds
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, summer sky
Colours: Copic, E50, E55, E57 G21, YR04, YR15, BG01, R20, R29; Miya oil pencils
Wink of Stella, clear; Glossy Accents

Next up in complete contrast to the cutesie bees if the more realistic Bee Geometric bee.

The bees were stamped coloured and hand cut, popped up onto pads and the wings given a shimmery coat of Wink of Stella. I also added a bit of extra colour to the hexagon pattern.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Bee Geometric
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, C3, C5, YR04, RV00, E50; Miya oil pencils

Wink of Stella, clear

The adorable doggie Furry Friends and a get well theme feature on my next card.

I paper pieced the dog onto spotty paper and tilted him at an angle - he is poorly after all. The feeling ruff sentiment is a perfect play on words for this genre of card.

Stamps – Funky Fossil, Furry Friends
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles

Paper: Lawn Fawn, pint-sized patterns

My last sample card today uses a background I created while I had the brushos out.

I sprinkled them onto a long thin acrylic block, spritzed them with water and placed the card on top to create the horizontal strip. I then stamped the In The Meadow grass and sentiment on top.

Supplies:
Stamps – Funky Fossil, In The Meadow
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Brusho on an acrylic block, turquoise, yellow, leaf green, ultramarine, purple

That's all my shares complete now, but of course the Funky Fossil DT have also got inspiring cards to show you - HERE.

Thanks so much for looking, have fun writing your order and watching Sarah on Hochanda.

Keep safe, stay home and watch Hochanda instead.

AAA Cards Game #165 - Up To One Third + optional twist A Repeating Image

It's time for another new challenge over at AAA Cards. It's that CAS favourite of using only Up To One Third of the card front.

The optional twist for this challenge is to use a repeating image and as Uniko are our sponsors I've chosen one of their Flower Power sets for my card.

I stamped the flower on a diagonal interspersed with the tiny heart. The colours were chosen to match my youngest son's wedding colours as this card headed their way for their anniversary. I couldn't help thinking how lucky they were not to be planning a wedding this year, my heart goes out to everyone who has had their plans disrupted.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko. Flower Power #1 & #3
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, R20, R21, R32, G21, G24; Miya oil pencils

Now it's over to you - how will you use up to one third of your card front? If you need more ideas, or just fancy seeing some awesome cards, head on over to the AAA Cards blog and check out what the DT and our Guest Designer Helen have created. Well worth the time!

Thanks so much for visiting today, it's always so much more fun when you do.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!
