Today I'm playing along with the Home Sweet Home challenge at Time Out.
It was the stripes and the picture on the wall that immediately caught my eye. The picture reminded me of when I used to do wool binding art at school and that was my jumping off point for my card.
I substituted washi tape for the wool and added it in stripes down a piece of scrap card. I then ran this through a stitched die cut, mounted it on foam and attached it to my card base. A simple die cut greeting was added on top picking up on the dark blue from the inspiration photo.
Supplies:
Dies: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles & Hi
Washi from my stash
Huge thanks for dropping by today, it's always far more fun when I get visitors.
And keep crafting!
Jane, this is such a wonderful take on the inspiration. I love where your mind went when you saw the photo, and the outcome is wonderful. Love your washi creation! Thanks so much for playing with us at Time Out! It's always good to have you here.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Jane, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIs this a non CAS card I spy!! I love you went with all the patterns and got the colours in too. Am I right here, that you used wool instead of washi? I am only asking out of curiosity,as it so looks like washi-would love to know how you did it. And a joy to see you at Time Out and so excited to see a different take x
ReplyDeleteI love how you created that background! So, so fabulous!

Very beautiful and interesting pattern, love the use of the washi tapes, initially I tought that they were stripes of design papers. I will have a go myself, thanks for sharing :) The stitched edges are a lovely touch.
