Today I'm sharing a couple of scrapbook pages that I've recently completed. I mentioned the other day that I am taking Shimelle's new class LAYER ON LAYER ON LAYER and these are the first two pages inspired by her incredible talent and style.
Here they are:
Do you find some papers intimidating? Well that's the subject of the first lesson and it helped me get to grips with this very beautiful background paper that was taunting and teasing me in my stash.
And naturally with the title of this class there are layers! Lots of little ones tucked under the photo mat.
And a little stack down in the bottom corner to echo the colours and supplies used elsewhere on this page.
My second page is a companion to the first. Not exactly a double page spread but it will be placed opposite the first as it's more about the same trip out.
Did you spot the 'm' in the title? Frustrated by the lack of an 'm' left in this set of alphas - and I really wanted to use them becuase of the strawberry colour - I resorted to turning a 'w' upside down to complete the word.
Lots more layers of embellishment words using stash from all my genres of crafting - card stamping, scrapping and MAMBI planning.
Bless his little face, so pleased with himself and he was so excited to pick and eat a few too!
Sorry no list of supplies today, I got so carried away with the scrapping process I forgot to take a note!
Before I go can I just give an enormous shout out for Shimelle's classes. I've taken several over the years and am still as fascinated by her process and awesome talent as I was when I took my first ever steps into scrapbooking way back when. If you're thinking about memory keeping and feeling overwhelmed by it all I highly recommend you start with a Shimelle class. Find them all at Shimelle.com HERE
Thanks for dropping by today, it's always more fun when I get visitors like you.
And keep crafting!
