A new challenge has just started at AAA Birthday and for this month the theme is A Shaped Card. In other words any shape that is different from the usual and not a square or rectangle.
I decided to create a card for one of my younger grandsons who has his third birthday this month.
I used my silhouette cameo to cut all the elements of the digger and set to work piecing it all together. I needed to be a bit inventive with a base card so that it would stand up, but not show any of the workings when viewed from the front.
I finished it off by stamping the greeting onto the red part. I did have ideas about making this part of the card actually tip up but couldn't work out how to achieve this, So I settled instead for a photo of him adhered to the driver's cabin - not shown in the photo for privacy reasons.
Supplies:
Cut File: Silhouette Cameo shop
Card: Papermill Direct, daffodil yellow, black, Christmas red, blue
Stamp: Uniko, Simply Said Birthday
There are lots of fabulous examples of shaped cards over on the AAA Birthday blog - HERE. We also have the incredibly talented Trina P guesting - her card is incredible as always.
Huge thanks got dropping by today. It's always a pleasure to have your company.
Stay safe and keep crafting!
