Hey! Today I have a card to share that has plenty of smooth empty 'white' space, but it's not white! Did you know that 'white' space doesn't have to be white? Surprised me too when I first learnt that!
I'm entering my card into two challenges - Time Out and Less is More.
Here's that card:
I started by heat embossing the gorgeous chrysanthemum from Uniko - I always feel really pleased with myself once I've typed chrysanthemum, such a tricky one to spell! Then I used my Prismacolor pencils to add colour. Love how bright and vibrant they look even when colouring on dark card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Pure Florals Chrysanthemum
Inks: Versamark claear + Ranger superfine white embossing powder
Prismacolor pencils: crimson red, pale vermilion, orange, canary yellow
Huge thanks for looking today, I'm really very chuffed to have had your company.
And keep crafting!
Gorgeous card and very CAS. That stamp set is fabulous and your card base is my favourite shade of blue. Love it x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous take on the sketch and lovely CAS embossing for this beautiful chrysanthemum. Love the colouring on the blue card stock, it gives another dimension. Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
ReplyDeleteYour colored pencils really pop from the blue card you used... Such a beautiful, vibrant looking card! Love all the white (well blue!) space as well. Thank you for taking Time Out and joining our challenge!
ReplyDeleteSuper make, perfect for the LIM challenge and I love the colours against the blue background

I know what you mean about spelling that flower, I always have to Google it to check I've got it right! I think your card is genius, using a clean, blue cardstock and having the flower in the corner is so inspired from the photo. Love the simpleness of the design and your colouring of the flower is beautiful. Always love seeing you at TIME OUT!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous, Jane. I love that flower image,a nd your coloring on the blue cardstock looks fantastic! Perfect card for both Less Is More and for Time Out! So glad you shared at both challenges!
