Tuesday Talk

Today I'm joining in with the Celebrate Challenge at Perfectly CAS.

This challenge has fairly strict rules about only using one third or less of the card front and this is my take on the theme.

I originally planned to use one of the balloons from the Sunny Studio set but once I'd stamped it and added the sentiment it looked like too much of the card front was used up. So I searched out the cluster of smaller balloons from Catherine Pooler and used them instead.

I added a trio of the small stars and coloured using my Copic pens.

Supplies:
Stamps: Catherine Pooler, Birthday Icons; Sunny Studio, Bold Balloons
Pens:Cooic, Y13, Y18, YG01, YG13, R27, R29, YR04, YR16, B02, B04, B0000

Thanks for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

And Happy Christmas crafting to you all!

Ink: SU, early espress
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched fishtail flags
Paper: Basic Grey, Hopscotch

Friday Focus

Today I'm playing along with the STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used Brusho powder and Funky Fossil's Geo Flowers stencil on watercolour paper. I love how vibrant the Brusho colours are and have a couple more prints from this inking stowed away for future projects. But for today's card I chose to use the boldest first spray and simply matted it onto black card and stamped and hand cut a greeting from Uniko's Birthday Sentiments.

Supplies:
Inks: Brusho, leaf green, yellow, crimson; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

I found a challenge that I couldn't resist and manged to carve a little time to create while my granddaughter was sleeping. So today I'm playing along with STAMPlorations CAS December Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used the very beautiful STAMPlorations Blossom Spray #2 stamped off the edge of the left hand side of the card. I then coloured it using my Copic pens in the three given Christmas colours from the inspiration pic.

The greeting is from Uniko's BIG & BOLD Happy and I simply matted it all on to a white card base with a narrow border all round. Bit of a go to format for me.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Blossom Sparay #2; Uniko, BIG & BOLD Happy
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, Y18, Y38, G17, G28, R17, R27, R29, R39

Huge thanks for looking today, it's always so much more fun for me when you do.

And keep crafting!

Sunday Slot

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page that I created using the sketch and colour from the White With 1 Challenge.

I really love the crisp fresh look that a white page with just one colour gives. Here's my Christmas green page.

I started by making the top border using Uniko's In The Forest stencil. I then punched a scalloped border to fit underneath and cut a straight strip to go above. The Christmas tree came next and then I placed the photograph on the vertical green panel.

One year on from the photo on this page, but he's still just as adorable and totally entranced by the magic of Christmas!

I punched the notebook border and stamped the lines to create a journalling card from a piece of white card. All these pieces were then adhered and the Christmas tree popped up onto foam pads for dimension. All that was left to do now was the fun part of adding embellishments.

I used stickers, words and enamels dots in three different groupings around the the vertical panel.

Supplies:
Stencil: Uniko. In The Forest
Ink: SU, tranquil tide
Stamps: Wonky Tonk, Meet Me Under The Christmas Tree; Kaisercraft, Wood panel
Punches: ek, notebook & scallop edgers
Embellishments: Pinkfresh Studio, Just a Little Lovely ephemera; MAMBI washi stickers; Paperchase puffy hearts; MME Necessities wooden arrow; YNS Gumdrops; Vicki Boutin & Maggie Holmes sticker books

It's been so much fun to have you visit my blog today. Thanks so much for taking the time.

I'm taking a little break from daily blogging as the Christmas season is beginning to hit me! There may be the odd blog post and challenge entry as I find the time and energy, but no promises.

I'll be back in January though, so until then keep crafting!

Sketchy Boards Guest Designer

I'm delighted to be here today guesting with Sketchy Boards for their December Challenge.

I used a photo from last Christmas for this page:

I started by choosing papers in Christmas greens and placing the horizontal background strips and the vertical chevron strips. I then used photoshop to make my photograph circular and die cut it with a stitched die. I also cut the outer circular frame by using two different sized circular dies.

Once that was all stuck down I added the title and journalling strips and then got to work on the embellishments stacks. I used a PL card from my dear Australian friend Helen as the basis for the left hand stack and simply added some fishtail banners. I stamped and die cut the holly and pine twig using Uniko's Winter Foliage collection.

I finished off with some wooden embellishments and my usual trios of enamel dots.

Supplies:
Papers: Bazzil Basics, clover leaf & red; echo park, Celebrate Christmas &  Magical Adventure; Crate Paper, Sunny Days
Alphas: Christmas  a gift from a crafty friend; Simple Stories, Destinations
Stamps: Uniko, Winter Foliage
Inks: SU, old olove, ral red
Dies: Uniko, Winter Foliage, M FT Die-namics, stitched fishtail flags, stitched jumbo fishtail banner
Embellishments & stickers: MME, wood shapes & enamel dots; Paperchase, puffy hearts; Elle's Studio, puffy hearts; Washi from my stash; Topper, a gift from a PL friend

Huge thanks for looking today, I'm so appreciative of you spending some time here at my blog.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Today I've a card to share that I made for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge where the theme is The Christmas Story.

Here's my card;

I used a beautiful digi stamp from LOTV and left it uncoloured except for the background. I did add lots of sparkle though using Stickles glue. I die cut an oval aperture to tuck the little scene behind and then matted it all onto a plain white card base.

The sentiment is from Uniko's Pure Florals Poinsettia.

Supplies:
Stamps: LOTV, Blessed; Uniko, Pure florals Poinsettia
Inks: Versafine Calir, nocturne
Pens: Copic, W3, W5, W7, BV23, BV25, BV29; Sakure gelly roll, white
Stickles, star dust

Thanks hugely for visiting today, I hope you'll come back again soon.

And keep crafting!

AAA Cards #155 - Along The Edge + optional twist Time Travel

The last 2020 challenge at AAA Cards starts today and it's got a bit of a quirky twist!

Mmmm, so what do you think? Well of course there is no obligation to use the twist, it's the Along the Edge which is the compulsory bit. But I like to twist. So I went with the idea of Santa and his reindeer time travelling to deliver the presents all over the world on Christmas Eve.

I used stamps from our sponsor STAMPlaorations and an antler stencil from Funky Fossil.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Warm Hands, Warm Hearts
Inks: SU, crumb cake; Memento, tuxedo black
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Antler Background
Penbs: Copic, R27, R29, E40, E41, E42, E43, B0000, B000, B00, B01; Wink of Stella, clear
Embellishments: Black & red dots from my stash

There is a complete mix of sample cards from the DT, some using the twist, some not, but all very inspiring and sure to get your brain ticking over. We're also really lucky to have Shery from STAMPlorations and a Guest Designer Coni joining in the fun too. Find them all HERE.

Huge thanks for take a peek at my blog today, I really am most grateful.

And keep crafting!
