Happy Little Stampers - August Christmas Challenge

This is my second gig as part of Happy Little Stampers Christmas DT. Hope you played along with the last challenge and are now ready for a new one. This month we'd like to see that classic Christmas image - snowflakes.

I'm not sure why we're all so obsessed with snow at Christmas, particularly here in the UK where it rarely snows at Christmas, but there's something quite magical about the idea that it might be a white Christmas and we're all happy to go along with it.

I decided to make a shaker card - after all snowflakes do fall and flutter down - and added some punched and sequin snowflakes behind my window. And I know snow is white, but artistic licence here, and aqua blue really invokes that chilly feeling.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Mixed Christmas Sentiments
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Dies: MFT Die-namics, Peek-a boo Circle window; Die'sire, Snowflakes
Punches: Tonic & Xcut

The rest of my teammies at Happy Little Stampers have created a wonderful array of snowy cards to feast your eyes on. Go check them out here and them embrace the chill - very welcome if your weather is hot and sunny - and get creating and linking up.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I really appreciate your time.  And keep crafting!

  1. What a good idea to have a snowflake shaker element Jane! I love the CAS design and the blue adds a great pop of colour.

  5. What a wonderful shaker Jane. I love that die you used for the aperture and the blue and white snowflakes are so perfect for your design. Love the placement of the sentiment.
