Monday Moment

Today I'm playing along with a little card I made for the challenge at CAS On Friday.

The theme for this challenge is Animals and since these little Clearly Besotted Halloween cuties had arrived in my craft room I decided to give them their first outing.

Uniko & National Coffee Day

Today I'm joining in with Uniko as they sponsor and support National Coffee Day.

Here's the card I made:

I started by stamping the Framed Florals in a pale coffee colour and then I stamped the I Love Coffee cup straight on top. I added more colour to the cup using Copic pens and then matted it onto a deep red cardstock.

Do you like the way the background peeks through the red coloured cup? This was definitely the look I was after and it is growing on me the more I look at it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Framed Florals, I Love Coffee
Inks: SU, cherry cobbler, sahara sand
Pens: Copic, R37, R39, E43, E44

Be sure to pop on over to the Uniko blog to check out all the details about this Coffee Hop and also the generous prize that is on offer from Bev.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I really appreciate it.

AAA Cards - #150 One Layer + optional twist Autumn

Well Autumn is definitely making itself felt here in the UK. After a spell of beautiful sunny warm days the wind and rain have now taken over and it's blowing a gale outside! Time to hide in my craft room I think.

So why not join me and create a card for the new challenge at AAA Cards. It has to be a one layer card, but the optional twist is Autumn.

Here's my DT card:

I always go to this stamp set from Precious Remembrance Shop when I want Autumn themed images and words and inked it up in some reds, yellows and browns.

As it's a one layer card I decided to give it extra interest by rounding two of the corners.

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Fall Colors
Inks: SU, crushed curry, pumpkin pie, baked brown sugar; Memento, lady bug
Punch: Xcut, corner rounder

I have to tell you the AAA Cards DT have really outdone themselves with inspiration cards for this challenge. Do pop on over and take a look - HERE. And we've the amazingly talented Joy joining us again as our Guest Designer. Her card is just CAS perfection!

Thanks so much for dropping by today, your visit is greatly appreciated.

And keep crafting!

Saturday Slot

Today I'm sharing the card I made for the AAA Cards facebook September exchange. The theme is Autumn colours.

Image may contain: plant, sky, nature and outdoor

I adore Autumn colours and was really taken by the purple leaf in this inspiration pic - no surprises there then!

I used the beautiful Forest Foliage stencil from Funky Fossil and four distress oxide inks at the top of my card. I then added a greeting from Precious Remembrance Shop. And yes I can live with the American spelling of colours - who knows my card may just be heading that way anyway.

Supplies:
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Forest Foliage
Inks: Ranger distress, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, fired brick, seedless preserves; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stamp: Precious Remembrance Shop, Fall Colors

Thanks so much for your time today I always love it when you come visit my blog.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

Another fun scrapbook page today. I used the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy as my starting point.

This page tells its own story as I managed to capture all three cars containing two my my sons, one of my DILs and three of my grandsons. Mmmm friendly rivalry? Well sort of, but boys will be boys and can be very competitive!

I started by adhering the horizontal strips and journal card and placing the photos. I then stamped the chevrons, lines and grunge to give more movement to the page. the die cut stars were added next and then the photos were stuck in place.

I stamped a title and then added all the little embellishments and words as finishing touches

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Totally, DIY, Positive Thoughts
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, mint macaron
Die: Xcut, stars
Ppaers: SU scraps
Stickers: Tim Holtz Idea0ology, Small Talk, Metallic; Elle's Studio, puffy hearts; Freckled Fawn, puffy camera; MAMBI, washi
Embellishments: Nuvo Crystal Drops, ebony black

I'm so pleased you had time to come visit me today. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Thursday Thoughts

Oh how exciting it is when a new challenge starts and when it's a CAS challenge too it makes my heart sing. So of course I'm playing along with Perfectly CAS, a brand new monthly challenge hosted by the extraordinarily hard working and talented Kylie.

Here's my card:

I printed this STAMPlorations digi Cupful of Blooms using just the bottom grouping of flowers from the stamp. I then used my Copic pens to colour it in. The triple set of pinks used for the largest flower is currently my new favourite combo - R81, R83 & R85

The birthday greeting is from Uniko and I cut the banner on a slant to match the edge of the flower cluster.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations digi, Cupful of Blooms; Uniko Simply Said Birthday
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: Copic, YG01, YG13, YG63, V000, V01, V12, V15, V17, R81, R83, R85

Thanks so much for looking today, I always enjoy having your company for a while.

And keep crafting!

STAMPlorations Digi Inspiration

Hi!

I'm so pleased you stopped by my blog today as I have a couple of products to share using STAMPlorations digi stamps.

STAMPlorations Digital Store

This is the last of the features to showcase STAMPlorations digi products and so will be my last post as a member of Shery's digi team. A fun job completed is always a bit bittersweet and I'm proud to have been part of the STAMPlorations team, but sad that it's now all over.

Anyway here's my first share:

I'd spotted a display in a greeting card shop window where they'd layered up boxes and tied them together with ribbon and that inspired my project. I used the ARTplorations stencil Shutters to create a strip that could go under the ribbon tie.

I then used one of the bonus tags from the STAMPlorations digi Spring Coffee & Anemone. I coloured the flower in the same moody blues as the banding strip and tied it to the parcel stack with the same ribbon.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations digi, Spring Coffee & Anemone bonus tags printable
Stencil: ARTplorations, shutters
Inks: Ranger distress, black soot, chipped sapphire
Pens: Copic, BV23, BV25, BV29
Ribbon from my stash

My final share is a card using one of the digi coffee cups from Spring Coffee & Anemone which I printed onto water colour card. Because of the colours I intended to use I trimmed the image to remove the coffee cup handle and turn it into a framed floral instead.

I chose my favourite purple Arteza brush pens and coloured using a little water to mix and blend. The greeting is a CUTplorations die and I added the happy in pen.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations digi, Spring Coffee & Anemone
Pens: Arteza Brush, wisteria purple, eggplant purple, light magenta, ice blue, elephant grey
Die: CUTplorations, Birthday

Shery has once again very generously included a chance to win a prize with the introductions to her new range of digital stamps - all you have to do is leave comments round the blogs of the new Digi DT and it could be you who wins a $15 gift code to be spent at either the main or digital store.  Find all the details and the mini hop participants on the STAMPlorations blog HERE.

Thanks for visiting. And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

I've a really fun and brightly coloured scrapbook page to share today. The colours at White with One this month are rainbow and I had the perfect set of photos to use with them.

Here's my page using lots of product from Shimelle's Box of Crayons range:

Once a year the sleepy little village where I live takes on a whole new persona and comes alive with funfairs and people for the agricultural show weekend in July. And how happy are my grandchildren!

I stamped the huge Smile as my title and then stamped the rest of the quote as a sub heading below the photos.

Supplies:
Papers: Shimelle, Box of Crayons
Stamp: Woodware, Huge smile
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stickers: Cocoa Vanilla, Boys rule; Pink Fresh Studio, Everyday Musings; Elle's Studio, puffy hearts; October Afternoon, Bookworm; Jillibean Soup, summer red raspberry & saffron yellow pepper; Shimelle, Box of Crayons; Simple Stories, So Rad

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you enjoyed my page today.

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page I made for the challenge at Kraft Plus Challenge. This month it's all about red, black & white plus kraft.

And here's my page:

As well as the colours and patterns from the mood board I was also taken by the grid layout. This was perfect for using multiple photos. I wanted to include the circles from the mood board too as I liked the contrast of the curves with the straight grid lines, but instead of placing them at the bottom I made a triangle with them to draw the eye over the page.

I love using arrows on my pages and think they also help to guide the eye over the content in an orderly and pleasing way.

Supplies:
Ppaers: AC, kraft cardstock;scraps from my stash
Alphas: Pink Fresh studio, just A Little lovely
Dies: Xcut, spiro circles; Technique Tuesday, that arrow Card
Punch: woodware, circle
Stickers & Ephemera: Cocoa Vanilla, Boys Rule; Tim Holtz Idea-ology, Small Talk; MME enamel dots

Huge thanks for dropping by today, I'm really grateful that you took the time.

And keep crafting!

Funky Fossil - DT Introductions

YAY!

I'm so delighted that you've dropped by today as I've really exciting news to share.

I'm joining the very first Design Team for Funky Fossil DesignsHow incredibly exciting is that!

And when you get to the end of this post you'll find a discount code to the store.

So of course while I've been bursting to share this with everyone I've kept myself busy creating some cards using Funky Fossil goodies.

Awww! The animals in the Woodland Wishes stamp set are just so cute! So I started by stamping the sleeping deer and then covered it up with a mask. I then placed a circle stencil over the top and masked off the bottom section and stamped the trees.

The trees were then masked off and I used distress oxide ink to create the sky and ground. Once all the masks were removed I coloured the trees and deer and added some glitter too. I finished it off with the greeting from the same set and matted it onto a white card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Woodland Wishes
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, salty ocean, antique linen
Pens: Copic, W1, W3, B02, B04, R29, R39, E50, E51, E55, E57
Embellishments: Stickles, diamond

My next card uses the running rabbit from Woodland Wishes and the Knitted Background stencil. The rabbit looks so cosy in his jumper and hat that I thought this stencil was a good pairing.

I started by stencilling the knitted background and then popping it behind a die cut window. The rabbit was stamped, coloured in a contrasting shade and hand cut before being adhered to the card front on foam pads.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Woodland Wishes
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, antique linen
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Knitted Background
Die: MFT Die-namics, rectanglepeek-a-boo window
Pens: Copic, C0, C3, BV11, BV13, BV17

My next card uses the trees from Woodland Wishes and one of the foxes from The Quick Brown Fox. I stamped the two right hand trees first and then masked them off before stamping the fox. The fox was then masked off and the final two trees were stamped.

I then masked off the left hand trees too and placed a circle stencil over the fox and inked the ground. the final bit of masking and inking created the sky. Then off came all the masks and I was relieved to see that I got the effect of the fox running through the trees that I was after.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Woodland Wishes, The Quick Brown Fox
Inks: SU, baked brown sugar; Ranger distress oxide, salty ocean, antique linen, fired brick
Pens: Copic, E00, E21, E33, E35, E37; Sakura gelly roll, white

My next share uses one of the newest stencils from Funky Fossil - Crooked Webs - and is sure to be a big winner with Halloween just around the corner.

I placed the stencil over some pearlescent purple card - I love Halloween because I get to use purple! I then used a white colour mist to produce a negative web image.

Once the paint had dried I added a cute little witch from Polkadoodles and a greeting from an old Clearly Besotted stamps set and matted it onto a lime green card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Fright Night; Polkadoodles, Winnie Wednesday Witch & Cat
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Crooked Webs
Pens: Copic, C00, C0, C1, C3,C5, C7, E00, E21, E33, E35, YG03, YG23, YG63, BV01, BV04, BV17, V17, R20, Y18, Y38, YR15

My final share is a card using a combination of Funky Fossil and Uniko goodies. As you probably know Sarah has been a long serving member of the Uniko DT and has only stepped down to allow herself more time to dedicate to Funky Fossil. Bev from Uniko is such a very generous lady and has a blog post -  HERE - to say farewell to Sarah and wish her all the best in her new venture. Aren't I just the luckiest to be able to work alongside them both and spread the word about their fabulous companies!

I started by stamping the Uniko Background Blocks Pinstripe. I then cut  a die cut stitched square and stamped the little angel from Funky Fossil Folksy Christmas orientated so that the square would be a diamond. The greeting JOY was stamped onto the bottom of the angel's dress.

I popped the square onto some foam and adhered it on top of the pinstripes.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil Folksy Christmas; Uniko, Background Blocks Pinstripe
Inks: SU, cherry cobbler; Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackable
Pens: Copic, C0, C3, B000, B01, B04

Well thanks so much for sticking with it right through to the end of this longer than usual post. Be sure to pop on over to Funky Fossil Designs to discover who the rest of the DT are - some very talented crafters there!

And last but by no means least Sarah is celebrating her new DT by offering a generous 15% off any orders from today until midnight UK time on Monday 23rd September if you use this code - FFJANE15

Thanks for looking, it's been a blast to have you come visit my blog.

And keep crafting!
