Friday Focus

Calling All Sistahs has a wonderful photo image as their inspiration for their new challenge. And as I was lucky enough to win the previous challenge it would seem rude not to enter!

Here's my card:

I went straight to the Uniko Decorative doilies stamps set as the circular image reminded me of one of those stamps so much. I then used Stampin' Write markers to ink it up in  multi colours and the misti helped me to get a good deep stamping.

I finished off my card with a CASual Fridays quote from Truth Is.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Decorative soilies; CASual Fridays, Truth Is
Inks: SU, Stampin' Write brights collection

Thanks for spending some time looking at my blog today, your visit is very much appreciated.

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the sketch from The Paper Players.

It looks such a simple little sketch, but although I thought I knew how I wanted my card to look it took a few attempts before I was happy.

I stamped the horizontal lines using two colours of ink and my favourite stamps from Precious Remembrance Shop. I added the large and small sentiments as part of the bottom strip to embrace the increasing depth of each strip from the sketch.

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Totally
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, tempting turquoise, bermuda bay
Embellishments: enamel dots from my stash

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, it's always more fun when I have company. I hope you'll come back again soon.

And keep crafting!

I finished of with a layer of Wink of Stella on the bee,

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Bee Happy
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, Y38, YR16; Wink of Stella, clear

Today I'm sharing a card I made for two challenges. I've used the theme from Time Out and the sketch from Less is More.

I expect you have spotted that I hand drew this card! Not that I think I'm an artist but I sketched out this design for yesterday's card and then thought well I quite like it so why not give it a go.

Supplies:
Pens: Copic, RV09, Y35; Uniball micro, black

Thanks for looking today, it's been great to have your company.

Monday Moment

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Springtime Blooms
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables

Thanks so much for looking.

Sunday Spot

Such beautiful colours this week at CAS Colours & Sketches I just couldn't resist playing along.

Really pretty aren't they? Now I didn't realise they were new colours at Stampin Up, seems I forgot to check out the basic ranges of ink colours in the new catalogue and only clocked the new 'in colours'. Mmm tempted now!

Anyway here's my card:

So I had to do a little matching of these colours using my Copic pens and started by adding some wide stripes onto a piece of scrap card. I then placed the die cut heart over the top.

I then added a greeting and a hand cut flower also coloured using the same Copic pens.

supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Springtime Blooms
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, Peek-a-boo Striped Heart
Pens: copic, R29, R39, Y38

I just need to say thanks to the CC&S DT for choosing my card from last week's sketch challenge as a winner - HERE. They do such a brilliant job, it's fairly relentless being a DT member on a weekly challenge blog!

And also a big thanks to you for visiting my blog today. I love having your company for a while.

And keep crafting!

Saturday Slot

Today I've made a card for the challenge at Create A Smile. It's been a while since I've played there, but when I saw the theme was masculine I knew it had to be done!

Here's my card:

I've used a combination of two stamp sets for this card and started by stamping the background circle from Season's Greetings.  i then stamped over it with the greeting and star from Make A Wish.

I chose blues and greens because those colours always seem OK for masculine cards.

supplies:
Stamps: Creat a Smile, Season's Greetings, Make A Wish
Inks: SU, soft sky, blueberry bushel, emerald envy

I'm really grateful for your company today, thanks so much for visiting my blog.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

The cue card at CASology for their current challenge is SPORTS. Although sports are not really my thing in real life I do like to watch the odd bit of Winter ice skating, so that's where it led me.

Here's my card:

I've used this particular stamp so many times and its appeal to me is still as strong as ever. I think it's to do with all the movement it suggests.  I started by masking off a strip at the bottom and applying distress inks in two shades of blue. I then took those colours up onto the skater with the addition of some greys and skin colours.

Supplies:
Stamps: Marianne Designs, Winter Fun
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, stormy sky, mermaid lagoon
Pens: Copic, E000, E00, E21, E33, R20, C1, C3, C5, C7, BO2, BO4

So thrilled to have had your company today, thanks so much for spending some time looking at my blog.

And keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I made using the theme of TREE from CAS Christmas.

Here's my CAS card:

I went with some blues for this card and just added a trio of green sequins to be a little more traditional. I'm thinking this design may well be the one I choose for mass productions as it's simple, fairly flat and post friendly.  Maybe I'll just stamp some sequins to keep it even flatter.

I  love this simple triangular tree from MFT and just added a couple of swathes of colour to it and then it shine!

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Happy Pawlings, Santa's elves
Ink: SU, tempting turquoise
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles
Pens: Copic, B00, B01
Sequins from my stash

So thrilled to have had your company today, thanks so much for your time.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

I'm doubling up on challenges for today's card - not something I do that often, but they just seemed to match particularly well. so this card is going into the photo challenge at Inkspirational and the theme challenge at Crazy for CAS.

Love all those ice lolly colours! Here's my card:

I started by watercolouring the coloured stripes using distress inks and then simply stamped the summery quotes and sunshine on top.  I matted it all onto a plain white card base and my CAS card was complete.

I've had these Technique Tuesday stamps by Ali Edwards seemingly forever and have used them a lot on scrapbook pages, but I think this may be their first appearance on a card. Love Ali's handwriting style!

Supplies:
Stamps: Technique Tuesday by Ali Edwards, Bring on the Sun & Summer Rocks
Inks: Ranger distress, cracked pistachio, wilted violet, mustard seed, picked raspberry, blueprint sketch, spiced marmalade

Huge thanks for visiting today, I always love to have your company.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

I'm playing along with Let's Get Sketchy today, so it's a scrapbook page to share.

All those strips were a challenge and I met it by stamping and adding narrow washi tape:

I picked up the colours from the photos for my background paper and stamping and then added an embellishment cluster instead of the third photo from the sketch.

I balanced that embellishment cluster with a smaller one at the bottom, creating a diagonal line to help the eye.

The title was added to make that triangle of elements that we all love and I finished off with some splatters of ink. I simply applied an ink pad to an acrylic block, added water and then used a paintbrush to flick the ink where I wanted it.

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance shop, DIY, Totally, Little Things
Inks: SU, blueberry bushel, tempting turquoise, sweet sugarplum, bermuda bay, calypso coral
Alphas: Simple Stories, Summer Vibes, Bloom & Grow, So Rad
Stickers: The Happy Planner puffy stickers; Shimelle Box of Crayons; AC, Maggie holmes & Vickii boutin sticker books; Cosmo Cricket, tiny text; MAMBI sticks, MAMBI washi; October Afternoon, the Ocean blue labels; Jillibean Soup labels; Lilybeedesigns labels

Thanks so much for looking today. It's been great to have your company.

And keep crafting!
