Hi! and welcome to Sneak Peek Day for the next Uniko release.

Let's have a look at the peeks...

This set of clear stamps is inspired by the design movement of Mid Century Modern (1945 - 1975).

And there are two more Background Blocks clear stamps also inspired by Mid Century Modern.

Plus a matching stencil design.

There is also a new Large Background clear stamp design.

And two coordinating Designer Die Collections to previously released clear stamp sets. Can you tell which ones from these peeks?!

That is all the sneak peeks for this release, which means tomorrow the FUN starts!! Bev, Guest Designer Jenny from Crafting in the Country & the Design Team will be back to start the product introductions with lots of inspiration.

Thanks for looking and keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

I couldn't resist the theme at Less Is More at the moment especially as it's linked to a One Layer card - got to be my favourite way to craft!

And with the Uniko new release sneak peeks and introductions happening for the rest of the week it seemed a good time to dust off an older favourite and give it some more love:

The rose bud stamp is just so gorgeous I knew it was going to be the main focal image, but I confess I'd forgotten about the sweet little bud stamp included in this set so unusually for me there just had to be two images. Not one or three, but two!

I decided to add a little background so I masked off an area and then used the Dots and Dashes stencil from A Colorful Life. Love how this stencil looks behind the rose buds!

Supplies:
Stamps:Uniko, Pure Florals Rose; SU, Blooms & Wishes
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, old olive
Stencil: A Colorful Life, Dots & Dashes
Pens: Copic, R39, R59, G94, G99

Monday Moment

I'm embracing my love of creating on a small scale with a tag today. It uses the technique of selective colouring from the challenge at Tag You're It. I was lucky enough to have my tag picked as one of their favourites in their Easter Challenge - HERE - thanks so much!

Here's my new tag:

Luckily for me the postman brought me happy mail today and this stamp from STAMPlorations was inside - along with a couple of other purchases. I knew it wold be perfect for this selective colouring technique and got cracking straight away.

I then die cut two more tags increasing in size and stamped the greeting on the middle one and tied them all together with a black ribbon.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Framed Cherry Blossoms; sentiment from a retired Uniko set
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Pens: Copic, YG13, YG23, E000, RV55, RV63, RV66

Thanks so much for your time today, I'm so pleased you decided to come visit my blog.

AAA Cards #139 - Sketch + Shaker

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at AAA Cards and it's a really fun one!

Here's my card:

I went with the twist, but changed the shape and created an anniversary card for one of my sons. I used the most beautifully coloured lustre paper for the die cut greeting and little heart and matched the sequins inside the shaker.

Supplies:
Dies: Winnie 7 Walter, In A word Celebrate Cutaway; MFT Die-namics, peek-a-boo striped heart
Paper: First Edition, Wild Flowers
Punch: Martha Stewart
Sequins from my stash

Winnie & Walter are the sponsors for this challenge and they're offering a very generous $25 credit to be spent in their store to one lucky winner. Got to be worth joining in with this challenge then! We have the amazing Raga from Perky Hobby as our Guest Designer, do go check out her blog and awesome card HERE. and of course the AAA Cards DT have worked their usual magic and created wonderful cards to inspire you - HERE.

Thanks for looking today and keep crafting!

Saturday Spot

I'm back playing at STAMPlorations today, but this time for their Theme and Sketch Challenge.

Here's my card:

I started by stamping and heat embossing the quote and then used distress inks in pink and yellow to watercolour the background. I simply applied the ink to an acrylic bloc, spritzed it with water and used a brush to add it to the card. Once this had dried I die cut the panel.

I stamped some background grafitti marks  using grey ink to make a border to showcase the word quote. I added the three arrows from the sketch in darker ink and used a dry wet wipe - a bit of a contradiction in terms - to add some hints of pink and yellow. I then went back to the main quote block and used one of those really wide brushes to add a bit of grey there too.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Subway Art Builders Dare, Art Marks
Inks: Versamark clear + Ranger superfine black embossing powder; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, mustard seed; Memento, tuxedo black; SU, smoky slate

Thanks so much for looking today, it's always so lovely to have a bit of company.

Friday Focus

I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches today.

Here's my card:

I used several stamps from my STAMPlorations stash, but kept the colour palette to just black and yellow. Since I spotted STAMPloration DT Monika's card - HERE - I've been a bit hooked on using small splodge stamps to add colour. Love the artsy look.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Artsy Doodled Borders, Winged Things, Fond Expressions 2, Art Marks
Inks: Versfaine Clair, nocturne; SU, crushed curry

It's been so lovely to have your company for a while today, thanks so much for visiting.

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing a tag I made for the TAGplorations Challenge. The theme is All About Recycling.

Here's my very much recycled tag:

This is how it began - an envelope form a craft purchase and a Mother's Day card. I die cut a stitched tag from the envelope and the bottom section of the card.

I then die a smaller tag shape with the bear image and added some extra flowers stamps round the edge, a trio of bright butterflies and some dotted trails too. I picked off the banner greeting and trimmed it down to just contain the button and happy and added it to the bottom.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Brave One
Inks: Memento, London fog, lulu lavender; ColorBox, guava
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags

Enormous thanks to you for dropping by my blog today, it's always more fun when I get visitors.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Today I'm sharing a CAS butterfly card created for the challenge at CAS On Friday.

For your blog

Here's my card:

I used a left over scrap from a brusho stencilled design and die cut it into a stitched square. I think this was at least the third impression I took using A Colorful Life Atomic Starbursts, see the original HERE.

I then punched two butterflies, one in turquoise and one in white. I stuck the turquoise one flat and popped the white one up on a foam pad. I finished the butterfly off with a clear gem and stamped a simple greeting below the stencilled square.

Supplies:
Stamps: uniko, Simply Said Birthday
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Brusho, turquoise & ultramarine
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackable
Punch:Tonic
Embellishment: Pretty Pink Posh, clear gem

Monday Moment

How very bright and eye catching are the new colours from CAS Colours & Sketches this week!

Of course I just had to join in!

I did a bit of masking to get an extra layer of buttercups to this STAMPlorations stamp and then added the red and yellow splodges using another stamp.

Although there are butterflies included in the buttercup stamp set they are solid and I wanted a more airy feel. So I went with these outline butterflies to bring in the colour blue from the swatch.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Buttercups & butterflies, Brave One, Art Marks
Inks: SU, blueberry bushel, real red, crushed curry; Memento, tuxedo black

Thanks so much for your time today, I really appreciate you visiting my blog.

And keep crafting!

Sunday Slot

So how have your egg hunts been going? We've got one planned for later today with my grandson so I'm hoping the weather stays settled.

I'm sharing a little tag today as my final foray into Easter themed crafting for a while. It's going into the challenge at Tag You're It.

Here it is:

This was such a fun tag to create and I'm loving the cheeky bunny stamp from Clearly Besotted. I die cut the stitched tag and then stamped the two background eggs and greeting. I completed the background by using a stencil for the clouds and my Copic pens for the grass.

The bunny was coloured, hand cut and popped up on foam pads.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Hoppy Easter
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Stencil MFT, mini cloud edges
Pens: Copic, RV02, RV55, RV63, RV65, Y35, Y38,YG23, C1; Sakura gelly roll, white

It's been so much fun having you visit my blog today, thanks so much for your time.

And keep crafting!
