White with 1 - October Challenge

Time for a new scrapbooking challenge at White with 1. This month it's a bright green that is the +1.

I used this adorable photo of my granddaughter tucking in to some broccoli. I'm not sure which is the cutest her hair matching the shape or the fact that she actually likes broccoli!

And this moment had to be captured as no doubt this healthy choice of eating will not last and the very idea of eating something green will become a horror.

As you can see I rotated the sketch as my photo was portrait. I then built up the embellishments to the right side and popped in the tags at the top.

Supplies:
Papers: Echo Park, Times & Seasons; Craft Creaions Ltd, Gingham; SU; scraps from my stash
Embellishments: Elle's Studio, puffy hearts; Pink Fresh Studio, Everyday Musings; Maggie Holmes sticker book; Kaisercraft, Fleur; Sparklets enamel dots

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I really love having a bit of company.

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a card I made to support Funky Fossil as they take part in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop. Funky Fossil is one of the sponsors and I've used some of their coffee themed stencils and stamps for my card.

Here's my card:

The corner triangle is currently one of my favourite designs for a card and it's so easy to achieve. I simply masked off the corner and then applied two colours of distress ink through the Coffee Bean Heart stencil. I then used just one word from the Caffeine Buzz stencil as my sentiment.

I stamped, coloured and hand cut the coffee pot and cup from Time For Tea. I then popped them up on foam pads and my card was done.

Supplies:
Stencils: Fujky Fossil, Coffee Bean Heart, Caffeine Buzz
Inks: Ranger distress, speckled egg, brushed corduroy; SU, soft suede
Pens: Copic, E31, E33, G21, G24

Sarah has several more coffee themed stencils in the Funky Fossil shop. I've included links to the products that I used and you can check the others out HERE. And if you use the code FFCOFFEE10 at checkout you'll get 10% off.

There's also chances to win by leaving comments on the sponsor sites of the blog hop - find them all HERE

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Polkadoodles New Digi Release

Have you seen the amazing new digi stamps from Polkadoodles?

They are just the cutest ever and I was delighted to be asked to join in with creating sample cards.

My first card uses the delightful Agnes Elephant Hat Shopping. Just look at her trying to decide which hat to buy!

I started by choosing a background paper from the Bright & Beautiful pack and then used the colours to stencil a background strip using the Timeless Rose Sweethearts stencil. I then had fun colouring up Agnes in similar colours and printed out a few extra hats and a box to stack up at the bottom of the card.

The sentiment is from the Winnie Sunshine Delights Sentiments digi bundle and I die cut it with the Tags die set.

Supplies:
Dies: Polkadoodles, Posydoodles squares & tags
Stencil: Polkadoodles, Timeless Rose Sweethearts
Inks: Ranger distress, picked raspberry, twisted citron; Sakura white gel pen
Paper: Polkadoodles, Bright & Beautiful
Pens: Copic, RV00, RV02, RV17, RV52, RV55, RV63, RV66, G21, G24, G40, C00, C0, C1, C3, W1

I'm entering this card into the challenge at CD Sunday Plus

My next card features Agnes Elephant Scooter going for a ride out in the countryside.

I use two patterned papers for the grass and sky. The clouds are from All About The Dudes paper pack and the grass is from Bright & Beautiful. The corrugated card strip is a piece of rescued packing which I striped back to one layer so that it wasn't as bulky.

I framed Agnes to make her even more of the focal point and added a sentiment from the Winnie Sunshine Delights Sentiment digi bundle.

Supplies:
Die: Polkadoodles, Posydoodles tags
Pens: Copic, V000, Y02, Y04, Y18, YG00, W0, W1, W3, BG11, BG32, BG53, B00, B01; Sakura white gelly roll

My final card uses the delightful Bella Bear Ladybug. I tried to colour her so that her fur looks all soft and fluffy - had to get my Copic workshop folder out to remember how to do that.

I knew I wanted to use both red and yellow and selected some patterned papers and card that would match. I die cut a matting stack using all four of the sizes in the Posydoodles basic squares set. This was then matted again onto a whole sheet of patterned paper and a red card base.

The sentiment was once again taken from the Winnie Sunshine Delights Sentiments bundle and die cut using the Posydoodles basic tags.

Supplies:
Dies: Polkadoodles, Posydoodles basic squares & tags
Papers: Polkadoodles, All About The Dudes, Wintertime
Pens: W3, E41, E42, E43, BV29, R27, R29, R39 Y02, Y04, Y08, colourless blender; Sakura white gel pen

The stamps can all be bought individually or in several different bundles and if you're quick and order by 2nd October you can get that 30% off using the code 30CUTE. A bit of a no brainer then!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been so much fun to have you take a look.

AAA Cards Challenge # 175 - One Layer + optional twist Coffee

I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by and already it's time for another challenge at AAA Cards.

Here's my card:

I went with the optional twist of coffee as it's nearly time for the Autumn Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I used the Caffeine Buzz stencil from Funky Fossil combined with the Abstract Bamboo Background stencil. Simple, quick and very easy to create!

I die cut an oval from the stencilled part of the card, inked it up to darken it slightly and then popped it back into the aperture to keep it all one layer. I was thinking the oval was coffee bean shaped.

Supplies:
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Abstract Bamboo Background, Caffeine Buzz
Inks: Ranger distress, speckled egg, victorian velvet, brushed corduroy
Die: Spellbinders, petite ovals large

I hope you'll join in with this challenge. There are loads of fabulous DT cards to inspire you over on the AAA Cards blog and we also have the fabulous Stephanie from My Ink Well joining us as our Guest Designer.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been great to have your company.

Saturday Spot

Just popping in to share a card I created using the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here's my card:

I found this Brusho background when I was rifling through my stash and decided it as way too pretty to be ignored. So with the addition of the leaf stem and sentiment from Polkadoodles it got to see another day.

Supplies:
Inks: Brusho, aquamarine, purple; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: Copic, BV17, V04

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been fun to have you visit.

Polkadoodles Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Time for another Friday Challenge at Polkadoodles. As always it's Anything Goes.

The theme the DT were asked to use for this week is Halloween. One of my all time favourites for card making!

I chose the delicious Winnie Wednesday Witch with Cat digi as my image. She is such a delight to colour and Halloween gives you the chance to play with some wilder hair colours and there's also lots of purple too - got to be good!

Once Winnie was coloured and hand cut I inked up a little spooky background for her using the Distressed Trellis stencil. The greeting was home made on my computer and then die cut onto a tag using the Posydoodles Tags.

I double matted the card first onto white and then purple - of course!

Supplies:
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, pumice stone, hickory smoke
Pens: Copic, W5, W7, YG01, YG13, YG33, G85, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, BV000, BV01, BV13, BV20, BV23, BV25, Y02, Y35, Y38, YR15, YR18, R20, R21, R22, E000, E00, E21

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I'll hope you'll find time to join in with this week's Polkadoodles Challenge - HERE. Remember it's always Anything Goes and there are prizes to be won so you've got nothing to lose by playing along.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Thursday Thoughts

There's something very appealing about an all white card and Christmas seems to match this theme perfectly. So today's share is for the White on White Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

And here's my take:

Well I knew it was going to be die cut heavy and I started out with the scalloped frame from Time For Tea Designs. I then die cut a stitched hill from the the piece of card from the aperture and placed it back inside the frame.

The tree and sentiment are also die cuts and the snowflakes are a punch. I added some white pearls to the centre of each snowflake and also for the dot on the i in Christmas.

Supplies:
Dies: T4TD, Smile Sentiment & Scalloped Frames, Landscape Edges; HLS, tree; Clearly Besotted, Christmas
Punch: Xcut, snowflake
Pearls from my stash

Thanks for you time today, I really appreciate you stopping by my blog.

Wednesday Words

Today I'm playing along with The Cutie Pie Challenge where they are celebrating their 9th anniversary.

Here's the card I created:

I used one of the many adorable Winnie stamps from Polkadoodles combined with papers from their Bright & Beautiful pack, some Papermill Direct card and a few scraps from my stash.

I layered up my card with the papers and plain card stock - been ages since I've had that many layers on a card! Winnie was hand cut and popped up on foam pads for extra dimension.

I finished it all off with a greeting from Uniko, now retired, stamped onto a Polkadoodles die cut tag.

Supplies:
Stamps: Polkadoodles, Special Day Winnie Celebrations; Uniko, Simply Said Birthday retired
Papers/Card: Polkadoodles, Bright & Beautiful; scraps from my stash; Papermill Direct, daffodil yellow, raspberry pink
Dies: Spellbinders, petite ovals large, petite scalloped ovals large; Polkadoodles, Posydoodles Tags
Pens: Copic, E0000, E000, B000, B01, RV52, RV55, RV63, Y13
Punch: ek success, border

Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, it's always so much more fun when you do.

Tuesday Talk

Oooo! Shades of Purple! Now that's a challenge I'm not going to miss! The gallery at Less is More is going to be so gorgeous!

Here's my contribution:

Any excuse to print out Oddella and get her coloured up is a bonus too. As you can see I used many shades of purple from the violets through to the deep purples. As she is a bit of a Halloween zombie in the purples I added in the odd tinge of green too.

Supplies:
Pens: Copic, C0, C1, V04, V12, V15, V17, BV00, BV01, BV02, BV04, BV13, BV17, BV29

I really appreciate you stopping by today, thanks enormously.

Sunday Slot

Today I'm joining in with the challenge at Sweet Stampers where the theme is Things with Wings.

Banner zum mitnehmen

Now there are lots of things with wings but one of my favourites has to be fairies. And when the fairy also has a unicorn horn, then what's to not love!

Looks like I'm still in adventurous colour mode like yesterday! The image is from Polkadoodles Weirdre Catch Your Own Rainbow. I hand cut and popped her up on foam pads over a die cut rectangle with stencilled clouds.

Supplies:
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black, summer sky
Stencil: MFT, Mini cloud Edges
Pens: Copic, R27, R29, R83, G07, YG06, YG17, B00, B01, B04, B06, E000, E00, E50, YR16, YR68, Y35
