Just popping in today to remind you about the current challenge going on over at Uniko.
A real feast for the eyes with this month's colour theme! Here's a card I made to inspire you to play along.
I stamped and heat embossed a row of three iconic Uniko blooms onto watercolour cardstock. then I smooshed the rainbow of colours over the top, saving the green for the leaves and an impression of grass.
I rounded the bottom corners of the panel, matted it onto black card and then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment above it.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Flower Power #3
Inks: Memento, lady bug, tangelo, dandelion, bamboo leaves, bahama blue, grape jelly, lulu lavender; Versamark + Ranger Superfine embossing powder, black
There is lots more inspiration from the Uniko DT - here - and a fabulous prize to be won. So don't delay, get crafting straightaway!
I'm really pleased to have had you visit my blog today, you're a star. and keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #197
The last October challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches begins today. Oh my! How quickly is this year going?
This week it's a wonderful sketch designed by DT Liz. Love that strip across the bottom and the trio of embellishments on the left hand side.
I stamped the daisy row first and then brushed on three - keeping that trio thing going - colours of distress ink.
The sentiment was die cut and the same three ink colours brushed over it and my favourite enamel dots replaced the stars from the sketch.
Supplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Daisy Row
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, spiced marmalde, peacocok feathers
Die: Clearly Besotted, thanks
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye, Now & Then enamel dots; Simple Stories, So Rad enamel dots
As you can see this card was totally inspired by the Cutplorations challenge at Stamplorations.

AAA Cards - #76 Masculine
Time to tackle that most tricky aspect of card making at AAA Cards this next fortnight. Yes that's right we're wanting masculine cards!
And with all the males in my family it's a challenge I have to deal with on a regular basis, so as you can imagine my card just flew together.
Mmm, seems I've been a bit hooked recently on this straight line across with bits added above and below style of card. Such a quick, easy and, I'm thinking, eye pleasing design I totally couldn't resist rolling it out again.
So this time I started with a pencil line where I intended to place the strip of washi tape and stamped and embossed the sentiment before using ink directly from the pad. My favourite embellishment - a trio of enamel dots - just finished it all off.
Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Mix Mash
Inks: Ranger distress, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch; Versamark
Embossing: Ranger Superfine, white
Embellishments: MME enamel dots, now and then; washi from my stash
Another card into my 'for the boys' stash. And now it's your turn to add one to yours. Pop over and take a look at the wonderful inspiration from the AAA Cards DT and our Guest Designer Joyce from Cards-by-the-Sea. You'll be filled with wonderful ideas and want to get crafting immediately!
Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate you taking the time. And keep crafting!

Uniko - Challenge #37
Hey there! It's time for a new challenge over at Uniko. This month it's a colour theme - in fact a complete rainbow of colours. How brilliant is that?
And here's a quick and easy card I made to inspire you to take part:
I've been indulging my new love of using ink directly from the pad for this card. I just love the concentration of colour at the beginning and the tailing off at the end of each swipe.
More favourites on this card too - gorgeously huge sentiment stamps and that trio of enamel dots. The whole lot has been matted onto black card to add even more eye catching pizzazz.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, All Occasiom Sentiments #3
Inks: Memento, lady bug, tangelo, dandelion, pear tart, bahama blue, grape jelly, lulu lavender, tuxedo black
Embellishments: Doodlebug Sprinkles, beetle black asst.
So how will this array of rainbow colours inspire you? Can't wait to find out! So get yourself over to Uniko, check out the rest of the DT cards and get creating. And we have the most talented Guest Designer this month - the wonderful Hannelie - such a treat!

CAS Colours & Sketches #196
Today I'm back with another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge and this week it's colours.
And with the green, red and copper combo I couldn't resist making a Christmas card.
Now I don't have any copper ink, card or embossing powder so I had to box clever and use an ordinary ink sparkled up with Wink of Stella. I'm hoping you'll think it's a good approximation.
I originally placed the bauble in the centre of the card, but decided to trim it down close on the left side and added a strip of red card. This offset look appeals to me more and seems to balance the card better.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Sparkle & Winter Foliage
Inks: SU, garden green, cherry cobbler; Memento, potter's clay
Embellishment: Wink of Stella, clear
I'm wondering how you'll use this trio of colours - I'm always amazed and delighted to see so many different applications pop up in the CC&S gallery.
Oh and I mustn't forget to mention that CC&S are having a DT call at the moment - why not give it a go? Check out the details on the main blog - here.
So pleased you had time to drop in today, thanks a million. And keep crafting!

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday Challenge #74
I'm back today with a scrapbook page for the second October Make It Monday Challenge over at The Memory Nest.
This is the last of a series of pages that I've created for my 2017 album featuring each of my sons. Today it's the turn of my youngest who has recently got engaged and is now busily planning the big day.
I started by adding a variety of papers using the triangles from the sketch. I then partially covered some of them by adding a cluster of cards and embellishments.
I received the most wonderful pocket letter from my PL Pal, Helen, in Australia and knew I would use one of the beautiful cards she created on this layout as the colours were perfect. I just covered the bit of washi tape at the top that said Bonjour with a more apt phrase and sat back and admired her gorgeous detailed crafting.
Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill Basics red cardstock; scraps from my stash
Stamps: Uniko, Simply Said
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Alphas: Lawn Fawn, puffy stickers
Stickers: MME, now & then; AC, Shimelle; Cosmo Cricket, tiny text; Basic Grey, urban luxe; Jillibean soup, saffron yellow pepper soup
Embellishments: Simple Stories enamel dots So Rad
Here's a photo of the whole PL. See if you can pick out the card I used. I also stole an embellishment from another card! Here's a link to Pocket Letter Pals in case you're interested in discovering more about this amazing way to craft and connect with other crafters all over the world.
Do go check out the pages from the rest of The Memory Nest's DT, they're all totally fabulous!
Huge thanks for looking at my blog today, hope I may have inspired you a little. And keep crafting!

Saturday Slot
Hi there! Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Stamplorations Theme and Sketch challenge.
Here's my card:
I started by stamping the three flowers placing them according to the sketch. Next I used homemade circule stencils to sponge some colour all over and around each flower. I love these two colours together especially where they blend - so yummy!
I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment, some random circles and adding a trio of enamel dots.
Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, doodled flowers & mix mash
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, picked raspberry & peacock feathers
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye Now & Then enamel dots
Thanks for dropping by today, hope to see you come back again soon. And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #195
Hey I'm back from my vacation and ready to join in again at CAS Colours & Sketches. A super duper simple sketch from Liz this week.
And here's my card:
I've kept to a clean nearly all white colour scheme with just a touch of that purple colour I'm so enamoured with.
When I was looking through my dies I realised that nearly all my rectangular ones were what I'd call wide and not tall skinny ones like the one in the sketch. So I went a bit fussy for me and used a vintage die from my stash - seems like I have an excuse to go shopping!
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Marvellous Mehndi, Simply Said Birthday
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, Versamark
Embossing: Ranger Superfine powder, black; Cuttlebug, swiss dots
Dies: Spellbinders, lacey circles; Xcut , scalloped rectangles
Pen: Spectrum Noir Colorista, purple
Please pop over to the CC&S blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and then have fun using the sketch yourself.
Thanks for dropping by today, really appreciate your time. And keep crafting!

The Male Room - #46 Halloween
One of the best things about Halloween is that purple is a signature colour - so The Male Room's new challenge is just perfect!
Of course there are other colours associated with Halloween and I thought I'd best not ignore them - here's my card:
I added some purple and green washi tape to a bright orange patterned paper and then die cut the word BOO! And then I couldn't resist adding some googley eyes inside the two Os.
I matted the die cut rectangle onto the same orange patterned paper before attaching it to a black base card.
Supplies:
Dies: Lawn Fawn, Louie's ABCs; Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
Paper: Lawn Fawn, Beachside
Embellishments: googley eyes 7 washi from my stash
I hope you'll have fun making a Halloween card and I'll see your cards scaringly appearing in The Male Room's gallery. Want to know what the rest of my teammies came up with? Course you do! Be brave and take a peek here.
I'm entering this card into the Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge where the twist is black.
Thanks for your time today, hope you enjoyed my card. And keep crafting!
