I'm super excited to be Guest Designing with Scrap The Boys today. They have a gorgeous mood board to use as inspiration for your scrapbook pages.

Here's my embracing the use of pink for boys page:

The colours on the train seats were just perfect for adding in the pinks.

A couple of close up shots of the pink and purplyblue stamping I put in the background.

Supplies:
Papers: Graphic 45, Beside The Sea; scraps from my stash
Stamps: SU, Gorgeous Grunge
Inks: SU, pink pirouette, night of navy
Stickers: Cocoa Vanilla, Boys Rule; EP, Note to Slef; MAMBI chips; Dear Lizzy Washi & gitter hearts; Vicki Boutin sticker book
Enamel stars: SU sweet sugarplum

So now it's over to you. How will you use the mood board? Can't wait to find out!

Thanks so much for looking and I hope I may have inspired you a little about using pink on a boy page.

Saturday Slot

Today I'm playing along with CASology where the cue card is BOY. Perfect!

Here's my card:

This is a bit of a 'been there done that' sort of image and I think he's totally adorable, just like all my grandsons! I used my Prismacolor pencils to colour the background and image - and I'm beginning to rather like them as a change from Copics or Promarker pens.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Puddle Jumper, Rain or Shine
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Prismacolor pencils

It's been really lovely having you drop by today, please come back again soon.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made for the Card Chain challenge.

http://picasion.com/

I'm always a bit remiss in getting round to sharing these cards. I think it's because I make them and then have to keep quiet until they've arrived and they sort of get lost in the general hurly burly of preparing blog posts.

Any way this first card is from August's link up:

Theme: Lighthouse, Fruit or Friendship
Product/Technique Options: Stencils

There is no obligation to use all the suggested elements and for my card I used the colours, sketch and friendship theme.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Flower Power #1, Simply Said Blocks. Big & bold Hello
Inks: SU, berry burst, blueberry bushel, bermuda bay
Washi: MAMBI skinny

My second card is from September's link up:

Theme: Food, Cats, Friendship
Product/Technique Options: Wool or Twine

Once again I opted for the colours, sketch and theme. This was such a fun card to make and unusually for me has an all over stamped background! I die cut the circle greeting and raised it with pads.

Supplies;
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Summer Treats
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, chocolate chip, wisteria wonder, tangerine tango
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched circles
Pens: Copic, E57, YR16, BV25,; Winks of Stella, clear

If you fancy joining in with October's exchange of cards you've got until 6th October to sign up. Find all the details HERE.

Thanks so much for looking, it's been lovely to have your company.

And keep crafting!

MKC Digitals Special Release Guest Designer

I'm delighted to be back today with a final card as Guest Designer at MKC Digitals for their special September release.

MKC Digitals

Today's card uses the beautiful Watch The Leaves Fall digi stamp and some paper piecing.

I printed the stamp onto four different patterned papers - two green and two autumn oranges. I then fussy cut the flowers and leaves and adhered them to a stitched die cut piece of white card printed with the stamp and greeting. I lifted the blooms by using foam pads.

I finished the card by matting the white card onto red patterned paper and then onto a green card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Mari Ko, Watch the Leaves Fall
Papers: Graphic 45, Floral Shoppe
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
Pens: Copic, C3, C5, C7

Well that completes my stint as a Guest Designer at MKC Digitals. I hope you've enjoyed my cars and will maybe give digi stamps a go yourself. I've certainly enjoyed working with Mari's wonderful designs.

Thanks so much for your time today, I'm honoured that you spent some of it looking at my blog.

And keep crafting!

CC&S September Guest Designer 4

Today I'm sharing my final card as Guest designer at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week it's a sketch.

I've kept super CAS and followed the sketch carefully:

I used this wonderful stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays which has three splodgy stars just perfect for the three different sized diamonds from the sketch.

A favourite trick of mine with stamps like this is to use a Kaleidacolor ink pad to add a blend of colours. I'm thinking this card will be great for a masculine birthday - got a few of them coming up before Christmas!

Supplies:
Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays, Celebrate
Ink: Kaleidacolor, Caribbean Sea

Well I hope you have enjoyed my September stint as GD as CC&S as much as I have. Thanks so much to Patricia and her team for inviting me to play along.

Thanks to you for dropping by my blog today. I love to have your company!

And keep crafting!

Here's my card:

I used the small flower head from Mon Ami and added a little shading to the base of each petal. And isn't the stem just genius? Love it!

I then added the uplifting greeting from the same set. I love this idea of sending out positive vibes with a card, such a wonderful thing to do.

Supplies:
Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays, Mon Ami
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, C0, C3, C5, C7

MKC Digitals Special Stamp Release Guest Designer

Oh have I got some gorgeous stamps to share with you today! And I'm also really excited to be Guest Designing with the newly updated and re-opened MKC Digitals store.

MKC Digitals

And what's not to love about digital stamps! They're inexpensive, come without postage costs and can be re-sized to fit your project no matter how big or small. Just perfect!

Here's my first card:

I coloured this image using Copic pens and chose autumnal colours to match the sentiment. i added a little shading to ground the vase and then matted the whole thing on matching red card stock.

Supplies:
Stamps: MKC Digitals, Octobers
Pens: Copic, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, YR15, YR16, YR04, YG63, G94, R37, R39, RV69, E55, E57, E59

My next card uses the same image but this time I went for greys - I was channelling a sort of charcoal look.

I made a quadrant of patterned papers, hand cut the vase of flowers and popped it up on foam pads before adhering to the card.

Supplies:
Stamps: MKC Digitals, Thank You
Paper: First Edition, Noir et Chic
MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles
Pens: Copic, W1, W3, W5, W7

My final share for today uses a beautiful floral cluster stamp.  I placed it across two corners of the card and then added colour using Prismacolors choosing those autumnal shades once again.

I'm still a complete novice with colouring pencils, but am loving experimenting with them and I must say they are growing on me.

Supplies:
Stamps: MKC Digitals, Blessed to Know you
Colours: Prismacolor pencils
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched fishtail flags

Well that's my Guest Design spot finished for today, but I do have one more card to share with you all on the 26th September. I hope you'll come back and see me then, but in the meantime be sure to pop over to MKC Digitals - HERE - to see some of the other stamps in this special release.

Thanks for visiting today, it's been so much fun to share my Guest Design spot with you all.

And keep crafting!
