Friday Focus

Last day of the month and today I get my second Covid jab. Those eleven weeks since the first jab have flown past.

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the challenge at Addicted to CAS. The code word is SKY.

I fancied inking up a sunset type of sky and went in search of pictures to inspire and remind me of the colours. I found plenty with my favourite pinks and purples and created this card:

Once I'd applied some base colours to the top of my card I used the Funky Fossil stencil Watercolour Lines on top to create some extra interest. I loved the colours but wanted to make it obvious that this was a sky scene so I added one of the hot air balloons from the stencil Up & Away.

The simple sentiment is from Funky Fossil's Bird Song stamp set. I finish it all off using a black card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Bird Song
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Watercolour Lines, Up & Away
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, wilted violet

It's been great to have you visit my blog today, thank you so much.

Thursday Thoughts

Today's card is themed around pets and is going into the challenge at Time Out.

Well no surprise that I chose to use Donna's awesome Furry Friends dog stamps from Funky Fossil!

Once I'd stamped the two dogs meeting for the first time and sharing a game with the ball I really wanted to use the bone-jour greeting but couldn't see where to stamp a bone. So I decided to create a bit of a frame on one of my mats.

The red gingham card is from Papermill Direct and comes in several colours and is just perfect for layering things up.

Supplies:
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E53, E55, N1, N3, Y19, R14, R17, W1, W3; Sakura black & white glaze

Thanks for looking today, it's been great to have your company for a while.

Another card for my Christmas stash is made thanks to the challenge at Christmas Kickstart.

And I knew exactly which stamps I wanted to use ......

..... the mega cute Sleigh the Season stamp from Polkadoodles. So once that was printed and coloured up I set about making a starry, snowy night background. I used a white Sakura gelly roll pen on dark blue card for the sky and then cut a snowy hill using a T4TD Landscape Edges die.

The sentiment is from the same Polkadoodles stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Polkadoodles, Sleigh The Season
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: T4TD, Landscape Edges
Pens: Copic, R02, R11, R27, R29, R39, E37, E43, E44, N1, N7, N9, C0, C1, B00, B02, YR27; Sakura gelly roll

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm playing along with the challenge at CAS on Friday where they want a New Home card.

Here's my card:

There's something very appealing about toadstool houses and i have quite a few different images in my stash. For today's card I went with the one from Time For Tea Designs Fairy Garden stamp set. I coloured it up in shades of blue and aqua and then cut it out with the matching die.

The sentiment is from a retired Uniko stamp set and fitted the space under the toadstool perfectly.

Supplies:
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, Y00, B000, B00, B01, B04, BG32, BG34, BG49; Sakura white glaze

Huge thanks for stopping by today, it's been fun to have your company.

Monday Moment

It's the challenge at Inkspirational that caught my eye today. Loving all the greys, yellows and a touch of black.

Here's  how it inspired me:

As well as the colours the umbrella caught my eye and I used the Funky Fossil Brollies stencil to ink up a border of yellow and one black umbrella. I then cut this panel with a stitched die.

I use a dark grey card base and added some clear gems to give the appearance of rain.

Finally I added a ready made sentiment from Time For Tea Designs. Relevant not just because it's spring here in the UK, but also a bit of a hope on my part that we may get on top of Covid this year.

Supplies:
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black & cantaloupe
Die : MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles

I'm so pleased you found your way to my blog today, thanks for your time.

Time for another Friday Challenge at Polkadoodles. As always it's Anything Goes.

Wednesday Words

Hey!

Today I'm playing with fire - well the inky stencil sort anyway!

It's for the April CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

Well I knew it was going to be the Flaming stencil from Funky Fossil. I just had to sort the colours.

On my way through my storage album where I keep all my Funky Fossil stencils - in alphabetical order of course - I spotted the Dragons and Dragon Scales stencils so I pulled them out too.

And the dragon rising out of the fir was created!

The sentiment is from Funky Fossil's Hogs & Kisses stamp set and seemed very appropriate.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Hogs & Kisses
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Dragons, Dragon Scales, Flaming
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, candied apple, hickory smoke, cracked pistachio

Thanks you so much for dropping by my blog today, it's always more fun when you do.

Tuesday Talk

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the CAS Mix Up Challenge.

A love a bit of paper piecing, so relaxing to stamps and cut and stick!

I went searching through my stamps to find a suitable one for paper piecing and decided to use this MFT stamp Puddle Jumper. So evocative of walks with each of my grandsons!

As it's quite a small stamp I chose small patterned papers and left over scraps from Lawn Fawn's Beachside.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Puddle Jumper
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Papers: Lawn Fawn, Beachside
Pens: Copic, E000, E00, E35, E37, E59, R20, BG11, BG32

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, More Furry Friends
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Dies: MFT Die-namics, double stitched circles
Pens: Copic, E00, N1, N3, N5, BG13, BG23; Sakura gelly roll white glaze & black glaze
