Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm adding to my Christmas card stash with a card I created for the Christmas Challenge at HLS.

Here's my card:

I knew I had this CAS-ual Fridays mistletoe stamp so that was a given, but I wanted something to be under waiting for a kiss. What better image than Donna's little fairy from Funky Fossil Christmas Characters?

I went with traditional reds and an olive green and found this scrap of Stampin Up paper lurking in my Christmas box stash.

Supplies:
Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays Mistletoe & Holly; Funky Fossil, Christmas Characters
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, YG 95, YG97, RV000, RV02, R29, R59
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched basic edges

I'm so pleased that you visited my blog today, huge thanks for your time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

This is not a CAS challenge but my card reflects my preferred CAS style!

I simply stamped, coloured and matted! Joy! Oh a hint of shimmer on the wings and halo with Wink of Stella.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Folksy Christmas

Friday Focus

How are you all?

I've been busy making a Christmas card for Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge that uses the colours from CAS Colours & Sketches.

Not your typical Christmas colours, but I think they look really pretty.

I stamped out the holly leaves, berries and pine twig from Uniko's Winter Foliage and then used the matching dies to cut them. I arranged them in a cluster at the top left of the card front.

I finished off with a greeting, also from Uniko.

Supplies: Stamps: Uniko, Winter Foliage, Christmas Wishes
Inks: SU, flirty flamingo, smoky slate, marina mist
Dies: Uniko, Winter Foliage

Thanks so much for dropping by today, i really appreciate it.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts

I'm combining two challenges today - Happy Little Stampers Christmas and CAS on Friday.

  For your blog

So Bah Hum Bug and Use a frame were my starting points:

I thought the gnome was looking decidedly unimpressed by life and was perfect for the Bah Hum Bug element and I used an MFT polaroid die for the frame. And don't we all need to keep that sentiment in mind at some point over the Christmas period?

Supplies:
Stamps: Stamping Bella, The Gnimes
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, polaroid shaker frame
Pens: Copic, BG10, BG11, BG53, E0000, E00, E21

It's been fabulous to have you visit my blog today, thanks so much!

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today it's a card I have to share with you and I made it to enter the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used some Polkadoodles Gnome for Christmas paper as a background and then stamped the Clearly Besotted sentiment along its edge. I also stamped a little holly sprig from MFT. The main elf image is from Clearly Besotted and I stamped, coloured and hand cut it before popping it up onto some foam pads for a little extra dimension.

Stamps: Clealry Besotted, Little Elves; MFT, Santa's Elves
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Paper: Polkadoodles, Gnome for Christmas
Pens: C1, C3, C5, C7, G94, YG63, R20, R29, R39, G17, BG34, E000

Monday Moment

Today I'm adding to my Christmas stash and playing along with Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

Here's my card:

I knew this cute elf had a bell on his hat but I thought he was also holding one too. Well seems I was wrong. So I got my thinking cap on and came up with the idea of masking out the bauble he's holding and adding the bell from the set instead. It nearly worked!  On to plan B and a hand cut version on top instead.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Santa's Elves; Uniko, Simply Said blocks Christmas
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E000, E00, E49, R20, R29, R39, R59, B00, B02, B04, Y35, Y38, C1, C00

Thanks so much for looking today, hope to see come back and say hello another day too.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - December Christmas Challenge

The last Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge for 2017 starts today. And for this month we've the optional twist to use a stencil on your project.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

And as it's been so incredibly chilly round here recently the idea of a fairisle knitted jumper really inspired me when creating my card.

As well as the stencilled panel I also used some of my favourite Christmas washi tapes to give a sense of balance to my card.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Mixed Christmas Sentiments (retired)
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, peacock feathers, candied apple
Stencil: Tim Holtz mini
Embellishments: SU, washi tape

Be sure to pop on over to the HLS blog - HERE - where you'll find lots more inspiration for using stencils on your Christmas cards.

So pleased you found time to come say hello today, your visit are always so appreciated.

And keep (Christmas) crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - November Christmas Challenge

And here goes with another project into my Christmas stash!  This month at the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge we'd like to see anything Christmas, but the optional twist is a tag.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

As I've said on many occasions I love how the smaller scale of a tag seems to give me the freedom to add more of everything and totally abandon my preferred CAS style.

And boy did I have fun putting this little tag together.  I started by die cutting the white tag and cutting a smaller red tag to fit inside. The two layers were stitched together on my little purple - had to be purple didn't it - sewing machine.

I then stamped and coloured and hand cut the wreath, added some shiny red gems and popped it on top of a tartan banner. A wooden deer and a couple of sticker embellishments and I called a halt and made myself stop!

Supplies:
Stamps: Magazine freebie
Ink: SU, baked brown sugar
Embellishments: Mei Flower, red gems; wooden deer & stickers from my stash

Have you already checked out the rest of the wonderful creations from the HLS Christmas DT? If not you can find them HERE. Pretty fantastic they are too!

Thanks for your time today, I really appreciate your visit.  And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - October Christmas Challenge

Well it's getting ever more closer to Christmas now we're into October. So time to really get cracking on with those Christmas cards and get a few more in your stash!

This month's Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge has a really on trend twist - SILHOUETTE.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

Here's my card:

And don't I love it when I can get my favourite purples out and onto a card! These ones were used as a backgound by masking off the card to leave just a circle showing to apply the colours. Then the images were stamped on top using the misti tool to get a good deep coverage of ink.

A few extra little stars stamped outside the circle and the addition of some iridescent stones plus a sentiment and I was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Set The Scene
Inks: Ranger Distress, wilted violet, blueprint sketch; Memento, tuxedo black
Embellishments: Papermania, iridescent stones

I've been seeing loads of cards with silhouettes around blogland recently so there's plenty of extra inspiration out there. And then of course there's the essential viewing of the brilliant inspiration from my HLS team mates - HERE.

Thanks for looking today, I really appreciate your visit to my blog.  And get Christmas crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - September Christmas Challenge

Hi all and welcome to my blog. Today I'm in the mood for Christmas and I'm sharing my DT card for the Happy Little Stampers new Christmas Challenge.

And what's a Christmas card without a bit of sparkle?!

First up I stamped the outline bauble and bow onto bright in your face turquoise cardstock. Then I stamped the solid part of the bauble with versamark and heat embossed it with sparkling snow powder.

I die cut a stitched circle from white cardstock and stamped the greeting. This was then placed over the turquoise bauble card and my card was done.

Supplis:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Sparkle
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Versamark, clear
Embossing: WOW!. Sparkling Snow
Die: MFT Die-namics, Inside/Out Stitched Circles

So how will you make your card sparkle? Or will you just play along with a Christmas card and not use the twist? To help you decide maybe a peek at the rest of the HLS DT cards would be a good idea? Of course it would! Find them all HERE.

Enormous thanks for dropping by my blog today, I really appreciate sharing some of your precious time.  And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - August Christmas Challenge

Come on now time to crank up a Christmas gear and get creating, only four months left! So why not join in with Happy Little Stampers new Christmas card challenge that's starting today?

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

And the optional twist is such a traditional element of Christmas I had to go with it. Also poinsettias are best on cards in my house - the real thing never seems to survive!

I used a stamp that has been lurking at the bottom of my Christmas stash and never been used before, definitley time to give it some love. I added a couple of strips of red card and then outlined them and the poinsettia with a grey promarker pen. Think that's why my photos have a bit of a blurry effect going on.

I coloured the flower centre in green and then added some tiny black gems too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black, Wonder Collection; HLS, Mixed Christmas Sentiments
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Promarkers: poppy, crimson, cool grey 1, meadow green
Embellishments: MeiFlower, black gems

Hop on over to Happy Little Stampers to get your mind blown away by the creativity of the rest of the DT - HERE. Then get those Christmas supplies out and get some cards into your 2017 stash!

So pleased you came by my blog today, please come back again soon as I love having you visit. And keep crafting!
