White with 1 - March Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at White with 1 and this month extra colour is pink.

Image may contain: possible text that says 'FAIRY FLOSS'   No photo description available.

Well pink just had to be a granddaughter page!

The photo was taken on her birthday just before Christmas and she adored all the sparkly lights and baubles - especially the pink ones!

I've used lots of flowers to pick up on the roses, the title position to reflect the straw, and fluffy pink stencilling for the candyfloss and milkshake.

The stencil is Geo Flowers from Funky Fossil and the papers are from Polkadoodles Butterfly Daisy.

Supplies:
Papers: Polkadoodles, Butterfly Daisy
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Geo Flowers
Ink: SU, pink pirouette
Punch: Woodware, leaf; Flowers unknown
Title: Pink Fresh Studio, Just a Little Lovely
Enamel dots: Echo Park, I'd rather be crafting instead
Stickers: Paperchase, puffy hearts; Elle's Studio, puffy hearts

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been fabulous to share some of your time.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

There's a really interesting and tough Weekend Workout in the AAA Cards facebook group - only use one inch of your card front.

I decided the best way to keep to a one inch square was to use a die.  Here's what I came up with:

Definitely time to search out those smaller stamps. the image was a breeze with Uniko stamps as there are often extra little tiny stamps in a set. But the sentiment - well that was a bit harder. But Uniko came up trumps again!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, So Much, Simply Said
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: CREALies Xtra No 5
Colours: Miya oil pencils

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been so much fun to have you visit my blog.

And keep inchie crafting!

Tuesday Talk

There's not been much crafting going on at my house this last week - grandchildren visiting and minding duties for the school holidays put paid to that! But they've gone home now and back to school so I managed some crafty time yesterday.

I've made a card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge where the theme for February is RED.

Here's my card:

I die cut the four square backdrop and then inked up the Funky Fossil Dotty Grid stencil to create some background noise. These were matted onto a red card base.

Each of the images were stamped, coloured and hand cut before adhering onto the card. Some were popped up on foam pads for added dimension.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Tweet Holiday & sentiment from Secret Santa
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, candied apple
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Dotty Grid
Die: Lawn Fawn, Four Square Backdrop Portait
Colours: Copic, R27, R29, R39, R59, YR04, G28, E31, E33

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's been fun to have you visit.

And keep crafting!

Uniko February Release - Introducing Happy Days & Background Blocks Pinstripe II

Final day of the introductions to Uniko's February Release. And a really gorgeous go to pair of stamp sets.

Here's some cards to show you a bit more of each stamp set.

I used a Kaleidacolor ink pad and stamped the silhouette bloom off to one side three times. I then added a die cut border ans stamped the greeting so that it sort of points to the images.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Happy Days
Inks: Kaleidacolor, riviera; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Die: MFT, stitched basic edges

Next I created a tag using a left over piece of background inking and a stitched die.

I matted it onto black card to match the stamping and added a greeting and some ribbons.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Happy Days
Inks: Verafine Cair, nocturne; Brusho, orange & yellow
Die: MFT, stitched traditional tags
Ribbon & twine from my stash

And my final card for today takes me back to my CAS roots.

I created the background first and then stamped straight on top.  I added a two sided mat to reflect the inky colours.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Happy Days
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, mustard seed

Well that's all the introductions complete. Once you've checked out the rest of the Uniko DT's fabulous makes it'll nearly be time to make your choices.

We'll be back tomorrow at 9.00am with the usual release blog hop and the chance to win the entire release. Then all the products will be available to purchase from the Uniko shop at 9.00pm.

Thanks for looking and keep crafting!

Uniko February Release - Introducing Spring Botanicals Tulip

I can't wait to see what you think about today's introduction to Uniko's February release. It's a bit of a stunner!

You will probably have guessed from the sneak peek that it involved a tulip and I have to say tulips are just about my most favourite flower of all! I love all the colours they come in nowadays and in my part of the UK they are grown in the fields and look totally amazing.

There are two tulips included in this stamp set but with a bit of careful masking I've managed to extend it to three. I've also used the Uniko stencil Quilted as a background. My colours are subtle and muted.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Spring Botanicals Tulip
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, black soot
Stencil: Uniko, Quilted
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables
Colours: Copic, E50, RV00; Miya oil pencils, pink, green, black

Unlike the colours of the previous card this time I've gone for bold and vibrant. If I'm honest these are the sort of colours that immediately jump into my head when I think about tulips.

I placed the stamp slightly off the edge and used Copic pens and Miya oil pencils to colour. Since taking the recent Kathy Racoosin colouring class at Online Card Classes I've been combining both pens and pencils more often.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Spring Botanicals Tulip
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, YR15, RV04, BV17, E50, BG32, G99; Miya oil pencils, purple & brown

For my final card today I've gone with a bright sunshiny yellow scheme and am hoping it may encourage the weather to warm up a bit!

As well as the Copic pen and Miya oil pencils I've also added in some white gel pen accents - another tip picked up from that colouring class.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Spring Botanicals Tulip
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, bundled sage; Ranger distress, mustard seed
Colours, Miya oil pencils, green, purple, brown, yellow, red, mustard, black; Sakura gelly roll white

So have you got a new favourite now? There's still one more day of introductions left so I hope you'll find time to visit again tomorrow.

Thanks so much for looking today. And keep crafting!

Uniko February Release - Introducing Designer Dies Kindness Blooms

Welcome back for another day of Uniko February release introductions. And today it's a designer die set that co-ordinates with a previously released stamp Kindness Blooms.

And here's my showcase:

I stamped and die cut a selection of the flower heads in shades of pink and paired them up with the Alphabet Outlined letters and circle stamps from Wonderful Day. These all went into a scrapbook page about my granddaughter playing with bubbles.

This is how the finished page looked once I'd added journalling, stickers and enamel dots.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Kindness Blooms, Wonderful Day, Alphabet Outlined
Inks: SU, rose red, bermuda bay, sweet sugarplum; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: Copic, E50, RV00, BG10
Papers: Echo Park, Imagine That
Stickers: Vicki Boutin; Simple Stories, Bliss
Embellishments: Simple Storis Carpe Diem enamel dots, Echo park I'd rather be crafting enamel dots

My next share is a trio of atc coins. I started with a background paper that I'd created earlier using a gelly plate and brusho powders.

I then added a mix of the outline and detail dies and some stamped words, gems and a heart.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Kindness Blooms
Inls: Color Box, grape; Brusho, violet & purple; Ranger distress, black soot; Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, elegant eggplant
Dies: Uniko, Kindness Blooms
Embellishments: Ppaerchase, puffy heart; gems from my stash

My last share for today is a very simple and CAS card using a favourite layout design.

I created a stack of the die cut blooms and grounded it by placing it on a line stamp from Background Builders Arts Decoratif.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Kindness Blooms, Background Builders Arts Decoratif
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Dies: Uniko, Kindness Blooms
Colours: Copic, R29; Miya oil pencils, purple
Embellishments: enamel dot from my stash

Still two more days of introductions and then before you know it ta da it will be release day. Have you got a favourite yet? Tomorrow's is a bit of a stunner with Spring vibes, so be sure to check back in.

Thanks for looking today and keep crafting!
