Uniko November Release & Blog Hop

Let's hear it for Uniko's November Release Blog Hop Special! Are you ready for this? Well here we go!

 http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/   http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/   http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/

My first share today uses that Rustic Wreath stamp set I couldn't shut up about yesterday. And I've tried something a bit different.

I got this idea for a table setting from Card Making and Crafting magazine and a little light bulb went click in my head. I think it's rather cute and a fab way to get my crafting passion into the mix on Christmas Day.

If you've been following my Let's December Daily album preparations - here and here - you'll recognise the colour scheme. And they're going to be my 2016 table colours too.

I started by die cutting a scalloped edge to one side of the card and then stitched round three edges to make a pocket. the wreath was stamped and die cut into a doughnut and attached to the ribbon bow with jute twine - it's so fun to see it swing.

I added my initial to the centre, a sentiment at the bottom and some of the little twiggy stamps too. The whole thing was blinged up with sparkly crystals.

Just need to make the rest of the family place settings now - or I could just have a peaceful time on my own, so NOT going to happen!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Rustic Wreath & Classic alphabet
Inks: SU, Chocolate chip, tempting turquoise; Memento pear tart
Dies: Spellbinders, labels eight & standard circles small; Die-namics, inside out stitched circle stax
Embellishments: SU ribbon, island indigo; Bling Bling gems; Creative Expressions, jute twine

I'm keeping my post as short as possible today so you can get on with your hopping, but in fairness I had to feature the other two new release sets didn't I?

So here it is using a very modern colour scheme to match the trendy look of the triangular tree stamps.

I almost added a pop of red with the stars, but changed my mind and went with purple to keep that ultra chic alternative look.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Pop & Most Wonderful
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Dies: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
Embellishments: purple star gems from my stash

And now the bit you've been waiting for - a chance to win the whole November release. Simply comment here and on all the other Uniko DT blogs in the hop to be in with a chance. YAY, so easy!

Jane - that's me

Good luck my friends!

Thanks for your time today, so pleased you dropped by.  And keep crafting!

Uniko November Release - Introducing Rustic Wreath

Oh my! To say I'm excited about sharing the cards I made today with Uniko's November Release stamp set just doesn't begin to let you know how I'm feeling!

http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/

Do you love or hate Christmas wreaths? Well this wreath stamp set is about to confirm your love or totally convert you to the love team! It is simply the most beautiful and delicate and gorgeous wreath stamp I've ever used.

I started by adhering four strips of double sided tape and adding glamour dust to get those sparkly stripes. Next I die cut a circle and stamped the wreath onto it.

The sentiment went in the centre and a twined button embellishment and some gems finished it off. Magic!

I'm popping this one into the following challenge - thanks Deborah for the heads up - 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Rustic Wreath
Inks: SU, crumb cake
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables
Embellishments: Deco Art Glamour Dust, crystal; Mei Flowers crystals; Creative Expressions, jute twine; button from my stash

My next card reverts to traditional colours and I added some of the extra little twiglets and berries from this set to the wreath. The sentiment went into the middle again.

I stitched round the edges of a piece of white card three times - the crookedness is quite deliberate, well it became so after I failed miserably the first time round!

I die cut the wreath and matted it onto a stitched red circle and added a ribbon for good measure.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Rustic Wreath
Inks: SU, old olive, real red
Dies: Spellbinders, standard circles small; Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables
Embellishments: Meiflower, red gems; ribbon from my stash

My final card uses my new favourite Christmas colours turquoise and red.  I started by adding the card, twine and washi tape strips down the left hand side and then stamped the wreath straight onto the card base.

I added some of those extra twiglets and berries as well as a central sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Rustic Wreath
Inks: SU, pool party, real red; Memento, teal zeal
Paper: MME, dilly dally
Embellishments: washi & twine from my stash

I'm sure you must be seeing the endless possiblilities with this superb stamp - I'm already thinking Spring, Summer and Autumn wreaths, then there are wedding ones and love one, the list goes on.......

Pop on over to Uniko and be inspired by the rest of the talented DT - here - and then get busy writing your wish list. Well that's easy - all three stamp sets of course!

Be sure to come back tomorrow when I'll be taking part in the prize winning blog hop - your chance to win the entire release! Fa- la- la- la - lah!

Thanks for your time.  And keep crafting!

Uniko November Release - Introducing Christmas Pop & Most Wonderful

Here I am back for a second post today and excited to be sharing cards made with Uniko's fabulous new release. And as you've probably already guessed from the sneak peeks it's a Christmas themed release.

My first card sticks to the traditional colours of red and green and uses both of the new sets. I'm loving the ultra modern looking outline tree which can be filled with a choice of inner stamps. I chose the horizontal bands for this card, thought it made a great combo with the polka dot paper.

I added a star to the top of the tree and a trio of stars round the sentiment - think this is going to be my mass produced card this year.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Pop & Most Wonderful
Inks: SU, cherry cobbler, old olive; Memento, tuxedo black

My next card uses a different inner stamp and the tiny tree stamp also included in the set. All three trees were stamped and then hand cut, the large tree got a brush of green ink over it and was mounted onto pads, but the smaller trees were adhered straight onto the striped mat.

And it was that stripy mat that influenced the colours I chose. The stars on the top of the trees were stamped straight on to the card after positioning the trees.

I finished up by stamping three sentiment words in a diagonal line.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Pop & most Wonderful
Inks: SU, chrry cobbler, old olive, dapper denim; Memto, tuxedo black
Paper: ep, Times & Seasons

My final share today is a dalliance into non-traditional colours. I started by adding the washi down the right hand side and a strip of turquoise card  next to it. Then I stamped and hand cut the tree using my favourite inner stamp from the set. I also stamped the tree trunk on this tree.

A little black jute twine and a trio of enamel dots and I was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Pop & Most Wonderful
Inks: SU, tempting turquoise
Embellishments: SU, washi; Creative Expressions, jute twine; Doodlebug sprinkles, beetle balck asst.

Well that's me all shared for today. I hope you've enjoyed looking at my cards and will also pop round the rest of the Uniko DT to see what they have come up with. And then come back again tomorrow when there is one more stamp set to introduce - and believe me you're going to adore it!

Thanks for your time today, so pleased you spent some of it looking at my blog.. And keep crafting!

Uniko Challenge Reminder #38

So much going on at Uniko today! Later today will be the introduction of the first two November release stamp sets, but for now I'm here to remind you that we have a Christmas Challenge going on at the moment.

I'm a bit into using non-Christmas stash for Christmas projects this year, so I decided to give Orignally Organic a festive twist - why not?

I well and truly sparkled up the round petals/leaves - not sure what they are - with copper stickles and found a matching piece of card to use as a background mat. Then as the copper card is pearlescent I used Staz On ink for the sentiment and tried not to touch it until it was dry!

Supplies:
Stamps:Uniko, Originally Organic, Simply Said Christmas
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Staz On, jet black
Promarkers: crimson, marsh green
Stickles: copper
Wink of Stella, clear

I know you're all busy making Christmas cards at the moment, so go on pop one - or two - into the Uniko challenge. As always there is a fabulous prize - details here - but you have to be in it to win it!

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope I'll be seeing you in about an hour when I'm sharing three cards made with Uniko's November release. But until then keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #201

Wait until you see this new sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches - you are so going to love it!

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/11/challenge-201-sketch.html

See, told you. Amazingly limitless possibilities and so easy to use and stay CAS.

It's unusual for me to make landscape orientated cards, but I just felt I needed to for this sketch. So I started by masking off the panel to the left and got lovely and inky with my inkylicious brushes and distress inks.

Once the mask was removed I stamped the dandelion head and sentiment. Did you - do you - blow dandelion seed heads to tell the time? Mmm fond memories.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lavinia Stamps, Dandelions; Inkylicious, Twinchie sentiment
Inks: Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon, cracked pistachio; Memento, tuxedo black

As always the rest of the DT have amazing cards to get your ideas flowing, go check them out at the CC&S blog - here.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate your time.  And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Hi I'm back again for a second post today as I'm wanting to get a card I made for the Stamplorations Cutplorations challenge up and entered.

http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/cutplorations-november-challenge.html#more

And look at those yummy colours from the challenge graphic - my new favourites! And this is how they inspired me:

I started by using a Stamplorations stencil to give the impression of rainy movement down my card and added a sentiment into the corner space above it.

Next I die cut two clouds, inked them up and re-inserted them back into their apertures. A die cut spotty umbrella was added on top and some stamped raindrops also got thrown into the mix.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Noteworthy
Stencil: Artplorations, Flutters & Splatters
Inks: SU, rich razzleberry, peekaboo peach
Dies: Waffle Flower, clouds; Clearly Besotted, April Showers

Thanks so much for your company today, I really appreciate you spending your time looking at my blog.  And keep crafting!

The Male Room - #49 Scapes

A new challenge at The Male Room starts today and for the next fortnight we'd like to see some sort of ...scape on your project. It could be a landscape, a seascape, a city scape or any other type of scape you can think of. And of course it has to be suitable for a fella!

http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2016/11/challenge-49-theme.html

I decided to create a snowy icy sort of landscape - must be something to do with all the Christmas cards I've been making recently.

As you can see it turned into a bit of night time scene. The skater boy is one of my favourite boy stamps, I think it was a freebie from a magazine, but I can't remember I've had it so long.

I started by stamping the bou and hand cutting round him to create a mask. I also masked off the moon and used torn paper to mask the hills and then had fun with my inkylicious brushes and distress inks.

I stamped the lines before removing the mask and then set to to colour in the boy. But I didn't! I decided I rather liked the look of him lsft white and it seemed to add a bit more chill to the scene too - maybe a ghost skater even!

Supplies:
Stamps: Marianne Design, Winter Fun; SU, Gorgeous Grunge; stars from Uniko, Essentially Christmas
Inks: Ranger distress, wilted violet, blueprint sketch, black soot; Memento, tuxedo black

I had so much fun creating my scene and I know you will too. I'll be looking out for your scenes popping up in The Male Room's gallery. There are of course more DT inspirational cards for you on tMR blog - here.

I'm popping this card into the current challenge at Inkspirational where the word prompt is chill.

http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/challenge-122-chill.html

Huge gratitude to you for coming by today, your visit means a lot to me.  And keep crafting!
