CC&S September Guest Designer 4

Today I'm sharing my final card as Guest designer at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week it's a sketch.

I've kept super CAS and followed the sketch carefully:

I used this wonderful stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays which has three splodgy stars just perfect for the three different sized diamonds from the sketch.

A favourite trick of mine with stamps like this is to use a Kaleidacolor ink pad to add a blend of colours. I'm thinking this card will be great for a masculine birthday - got a few of them coming up before Christmas!

Supplies:
Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays, Celebrate
Ink: Kaleidacolor, Caribbean Sea

Well I hope you have enjoyed my September stint as GD as CC&S as much as I have. Thanks so much to Patricia and her team for inviting me to play along.

Thanks to you for dropping by my blog today. I love to have your company!

And keep crafting!

CC&S September Guest Designer 3

Today I'm guesting at CAS Colours & Sketches again and this is my third slot of the month with them. It's a colour challenge this week and a really fabulous trio too!

So I got to thinking that these colours would be perfect for an Autumn themed card and since Autumn and its beautiful colours is my most favourite time of the year I followed my heart.

I used the gorgeous skeleton leaf stamps from Precious Remembrance Shop and the orange and purple shades from the colour swatch. I then matted it all onto some green card stock to bring in the final colour.

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Fall Colors
Inks: SU, pumpkin pie, fresh fig

I'm curious to know how you will use these colours. The CC&S DT have some amazing examples to get you all fired up and inspired so do go take a look and then get crafting.

Thanks for your time today. I feel so privileged that you spent some of it visiting my blog.

And keep crafting!

Here's my card:

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Brave One; Uniko, Simply Said Birthday
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, soft sky
Pens: Copic, B00, B01, E000, RV63, YG13

CC&S September Guest Designer 1

Hey! I'm really excited to be here today as it's my first Guest Designer spot for September at CAS Colours & Sketches.

It feels a bit like revisiting old friends as I used to belong to the CC&S DT and still try to play along with their challenges when i get the time. So I couldn't have been more delighted when I received the email asking to join them for September.

And this little lovely has been in my stash for a while waiting to get inked up and today she gets her chance to star!  I stamped her in Night of Navy and then used a tiny polka dot stencil and a paint brush to add some Night of Navy spots to her dress.

I coloured her hair and the flowers matching the other two colours as closely as I could with my Copic pens. . I finished off by stamping the sentiment in Night of Navy and adding a Gorgeous Grape colour matched strip to the left hand side.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Love You A Bunch
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU night of navy
Pens: Copic, B37, V17, Y18, Y35

Well that's my first Guest Design spot all finished. I know there will be fabulous inspiration using these colours for you over at the CC&S Challenge blog, be sure to follow the link and go take a look.

Thanks for your time today, it's been so fun to have your company.

Here I am hosting the final CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge for June and it's a sketch. It seems very fitting that this is the last challenge of the month as it will also be my last challenge as a DT member of CC&S. So I went with a favourite layout that I've used in the past, hope you'll enjoy using it too.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/06/challenge-229.html

Here's my card:

I've stuck to nearly all one colour with just a few pops of blue in the flower centres.

And the scripty sentiment is one of my all time favourites too.

Supplies:
Stamps: SU, Blooms & Wishes
Ink: SU, cherry cobbler
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched basic edges
Embellishments: Doodlebug enamel dots, blue jean asst.

CAS Colours & Sketches #228

It's time for a new colour challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week's picks are from Patricia.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/06/challenge-228-colours.html

As I don't have any metallic inks in my stash I went with embossing powder instead and created a strip to use down the side of my card.

I stamped a butterfly in each of the two other colours and then heat embossed their markings with the same metallic powder.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, A Better You
Inks: SU, dapper denim, peekaboo peach; Versamark, clear
Embossing: Honey Doo Crafts, copper classic

So now it's over to you and tiome to get your creativity unleashed. Hop on over to CC&S for more DT inspiration on how to use these colours.

So pleased you dropped by today, made me feel special.  And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #220

A sketch challenge begins today at CAS Colours & Sketches and it's a corker too!

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/04/challenge-220-sketch.html

This had me searching through my stash for a scalloped edger punch, knew that was going to be my starting point.

I decided to use a wordy sentiment quote and a simple all over patterned paper for the background.

Some gems just completed my card.

Supplies:
Paper: Lawn Fawn, Beachside
Stamps: Stamplorations, Fond Expressions 2
Ink: Versafine, onyx black
Punch: Xcut scallop edger
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
Embellishments: Bling Bling gems

The rest of the CC&S DT have also made sample cards to inspire you, go check them out here.http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/04/challenge-220-sketch.html

CAS Colours & Sketches #219

A new colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches this week and I think they're a bit of different combo.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/04/challenge-219-colours.html

What do you think? They're really subtle, but very usuable and awesome.

I decided to make more of a unisex type of card and the wonderful Explosion duo from Uniko. I stamped the background halftone splats in the taupe and green and then hand cut the mint splat and raised it onto pads to sit above.

A couple of movement lines and the word awesome and my card was rady to go in the post.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Explosion, Explosion Additions
Inks: SU, old olive, mint macaron, tip top taupe

Do go check out how the rest of the CC&S DT have used these colours - here. You'll be impressed.

Thanks for looking today, your company has been very welcome.  And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #218

A new challenge begins today at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week it's a super sketch designed by Bev of Uniko, our hostess for April.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/04/challenge-218-sketch.html

And that narrow vertical stripe screamed washi to me - yep any excuse to get some of my huge stash onto a card is always welcome!

I love cards where the words take centre stage and this quote is one I keep in mind whenever things get hectic and overwhelming. I chose a sunny bright kaleidacolor pad to ink it up.

The little square from the sketch is represented by the blue butterfly - mega sparkled up with wink of stella and I couldn't resist adding a trio of bright sparkly sequins to finish everything off but still keep it CAS.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Keep Going
Inks: Kaleidacolor, Riviera
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangle stax
Punch: Martha Stewart, butterfly
Embellishments: Washi from my stash; Wink of Stella, clear

Have you already seen the rest of the CC&S DT cards? Bet you were impressed! Here's the link if you've still got that to look forward to - CC&S.

Thank you so much for dropping by my blog today, it's been fabulous having you visit.  And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #217

This month at CAS Colours & Sketches it's DT Bev's turn to be hostess and she has chosen some pretty springlike colours to get us off to a great start.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/04/challenge-217-colours.html

Here's my card:

I started by stamping the halftone block in So Saffron and then overstamping with Uniko Style blooms in Wisteria Wonder. I hand cut the flower heads and arranged them along a washi strip which I thought was a near match for pear pizzazz.

The sentiment was stamped in Wisteria Wonder. And I've amazed myself by using four flowerheads instead of my usual favourite three, just felt right to add one more.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Uniko Style, Background Blocks Halftone, Simply Said Birthday
Inks: SU, so saffron, wisteria wonder
Washi from my stash

Want to see what the rest of the CC&S DT have come up with? Go take a peek here. You'll love their designs!

I'm so pleased to have had your company here today, thanks so much for dropping by.  And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches - #216

The final challenge for March begins today at CAS Colours & Sketches. And it's another super sketch.
http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2017/03/challenge-216-sketch.html

I went for some bold vibrant colours for my card and used ink directly from the pad.

I inked up the colours onto watercolour card to get that lovely grainy texture and then stamped the flowers directly on top.

I matted the panel in two of the ink colours and added a sentiment banner to finish it all off.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Pure Florals Cosmos
                            PFCosmosPP

Inks: Ranger distress, picked raspberry, mustard seed, spiced marmalade; Memento, tuxedo black

There's so much more inspiration to be had over at the CC&S blog, so go check out the rest of the DT creations.Hope to see you playing along soon.

Thanks for looking today, your visit is really important to me.  And keep crafting!
