Monday Moment with T4TD

Only another few days before I officially start my stint as Challenge Co-ordinator at Time For Tea Designs. So why not have a Monday Moment with a card using their adorably cute stamps and dies?

Did you know that Jo the owner and creator of all this cuteness does a live demo every Thursday evening at 8 o'clock in the Time For Tea Designs Friends group on facebook?

The week before last she tried out Arteza watercolour pens on Canson Aquarelle paper. I have some Arteza pens tucked away in a cupboard, couldn't get them to work! So the paper was purchased from Amazon and I had a go. Seems the paper and the inspiration from Jo may have done the trick - well judge for yourself.

I chose colours that I thought evoked Spring - we are now officially in Spring - and used images from the Up Up & Away stamp set. The background stamp with the windmill is just perfect for water colours.

I think I quite like the way the water colours pool and puddle. How about you?

Supplies:
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: Arteza water colour brush
Paper: Canson XL Aquarelle

Remember you can use the code T4TJANE10 to get 10% off your order at T4TD.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been fabulous to have you visit.

Saturday Spot

Perfectly CAS has a super simple theme for their current challenge - Birthday! Too good to resist playing along.

As you're only allowed to use up to one third for this challenge I started by masking off the top two thirds of my card front so that I didn't slip up.

I inked up the bottom third with distress oxides and then added the sweet Up Up & Away bunny from T4TD. He's all excited because it's a birthday! Use code T4TJANE10 to get 10% off your order.

Supplies:
Stamps: T4TD, Up Up & Away, sentiment from Fairy Garden
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, cracked pistachio, twisted citron
Pens: Copic, C1, C3, R20, Y06, YR68

Huge thanks for stopping by today, it's been so fun to have your company.

Polkadoodles Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Time for another Friday Challenge at Polkadoodles. As always it's Anything Goes.

The theme the DT were asked to use for this week is New Beginnings and a shaped card.

I chose the Wedding Car digi and created a shaped card by printing to one side of a piece of card and then cutting round the image on the sides and top. I left the bottom of the card flat for stability.

This was the easiest of cards to make as all I needed to do was colour the image using Copic pens and then add a little dimension by popping the bows up on foam pads. And you have to have a bit of bling on your wedding day, so I decorated her hair and tiara with gems.

Supplies:
Pens: Copic, E000, E00, E42, E43, E44, N1, N3, N5, N7, N9, C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y00, W0, BG0000, R20, BG11, BG23

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I'll hope you'll find time to join in with this week's Polkadoodles Challenge - HERE. Remember it's always Anything Goes and there are prizes to be won so you've got nothing to lose by playing along.

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm playing along with the shapes Challenge at Addicted to CAS.

It was a no brainer to use one of the Uniko Background Builders sets. After all they have most shapes covered in this series. I plumped for the newest set Delightful Diamonds.

I  guess I have broken one of the ATCAS rules by not having just one focal point but since there is loads of empty white space I still think my card is CAS.

I chose really strong contrasting colours as I wanted my card to pop a punch even though it's so simple. The sentiment is from the new Floral Vines set - worth the purchase just for the beautifully simple and useful sentiments it includes, the floral image is an added bonus.

Supplies:
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, rose red, lemon lime twist

It's been fab to have you stop by today, huge thanks for your time.

More Monday Moments

Well this doesn't happen often, but here I am again today with a second card for another challenge - getting close to the deadline so had to be done!

So it's CAS Colours & Sketches this time with a trio of Spring colours.

I'm using some washi from Funky Fossil and dies from Time For Tea Designs.

I started by inking up a scrap of card with the three colours from the chart and then die cutting the flowers and leaves using Springs Blooms from T4TD. I added a strip of Monochrome washi to the bottom and then adhered the flower cluster on top.

I finished off with a stamped and die cut thanks and matted it all on to a white card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: T4TD, sentiment from Be Kind, Be You
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Washi: Funky Fossil, Monochrome

It's been great to have your company again today, thank you so much.

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm joining in with the challenge at CAS Mix Up where they are celebrating their 5th birthday.

I've never tried this technique before but decided to give it a go.

I used the Cogs and Gears die from Funky fossil and cut it out using foam. I then attached it with removeable glue to an acrylic block and painted two premixed brusho colours onto it. As it was all a bit wet and watery at this point I put the card on top of the foam die cuts rather than lifting the acrylic block and taking it to the card.

Once the main die cut was stamped I then added a couple of extra cogs and the the chain stamped repeatedly along each side. I added a birthday greeting - had to be since it's CAS Mix Up's birthday - using the new Graphic Words set also from Funky Fossil.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Graphic Words
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Brusho, turquoise & ultra marine
Dies: Funky Fossil, Cogs & Gears

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Monday Moment

Today I'm doing something different - well that's the theme of the current challenge at Time Out and I'm embracing it.

Well two days ago I could have said creating a mini slimline card was different for me, but not today. So I've created a card using one of my all time favourite sentiments - it's ok to be different.

I created a background panel using the Honey Bees stencil from Funky Fossil. I used masking tape to cover the one different bee, inked up all the others and then masked off those surrounding the one bee and added the different colours.

The sentiment that kick started this mini slimline card is from Precious Remembrance Shop - a US company who have the most amazing stamps but sadly the import duty and postage to the UK is just too much to extend my stash any more.

Supplies:
Stamps: PRS. New Day
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Honey Bees
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, worn lipstick, wilted violet, dried marigold, antique linen

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been a pleasure to have you visit.

Time for a new challenge at AAA Cards

Along The Edge is a favourite design feature with CAS card makers and is the main theme of this new challenge. My card also uses the twist of Only Die Cuts.

i started with a piece of patterned paper and die cut the birthday from its middle. I then was able to use the rest of the paper as a mat for the Happy die cut from white card stock.

Supplies:
Dies: MFT Die-namics, Happy; Winnie & Walter, Birthday (no longer available)
Paper: First Edition, Wild Flower

I hope you will have time to pop on over to the AAA Cards blog - HERE - to check out the amazing cards produced by the AAA Cards DT.

Uniko Blog Hop - Release In Review

I'm so excited that you've dropped by today as Uniko is have a blog hop to showcase their release from earlier this month. There will be prizes!

I've created a trio of cards using items from the release and my first card features the beautiful Floral Vines set.

I stamped it four times to make a frame round the edge of a piece of kraft card. I also added in some extra circles using the tiny stamp that comes with the set. I then coloured it all up using Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is also from this set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Floral Vines
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colours: Prismacolor pencils

My next card is showcasing the gorgeous new stencil in Uniko's range - Pure Florals Gerbera. I couldn't wait to ink this one up and used distress oxides inks on a pale green background card. The sentiment is from Floral Vines and I added a scattering of sequins to catch the light.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, sentiment from Floral Vines
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, squeezed lemonade; Versafine Calir, nocturne
Stencil: Uniko, Pure Florals Gerbera
Card: Papermill Direct, jade pearlised

My final card today uses the Framed Floral Vines partially stamped and a little off the edge. I coloured it up using Copic pens in some beautiful violet and bluey green shades.

Supplies:
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, BG10, BG11, BG23, E50, RV02, V12
Sequins from my stash

Well that's my showcase complete. Now I'm sure you want to know how to win a prize - so go check out all the info on the Uniko blog - HERE. And here's the blog hop order in case you already know what's on offer and just want to get on round to the other DT blogs.

Have fun and I hope you're one of the winners!
