Thursday Thoughts

Another pink precious scrapbook page to share today - I'm so loving getting my pink on! It uses the totally perfect for this photo sketch from The Studio Challenges.

Here's my little angel:

I've had this pad of Tim Holtz papers lurking in my stash for ever and today it got to shine as the background because the pink matched her knitted, by me, hat so perfectly.

I die cut all the hearts, the flower stack and the alphas too. The patterned paper strip is all sparkly - just has to be doesn't it?!  I also added some extra little shiny hearts and enamel dots to three of the  scattered small hearts.

Supplies:
Papers: Tim Holtz; Best Creations Inc; Coredinations; AC Amy Tangerine, Oh Happy Life
Dies: Spellbinders, lacey circles 7 classic scalloped circles small; Marianne, CR1251; Lawn Fawn, Outside/In stitched hearts, little heatts, Louie's ABCs
Punch: Woodware, 1.5" circle

Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, I'm delighted to have had your company.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

I'm sharing a set of three cards I created to enter into one of Winnie & Walter's birthday challenges.

Card Set Challenge with Heather

I used the freebie downloadable geometric pattern from Winnie & Walter and coloured it in three different colourways. I then matted each one onto black and adhered it to the card fronts.

I die cut the celebrate greeting once in black and a couple more times in white and glued them together a little off centre to get a shadow effect.

Supplies:
Stamps: Winnie & Walter, freebie download
Dies: Winnie & Walter In A word, Celebrate cutaway; Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables
Pens: Copic, RV66, RV69, GG32, BG34, B02, B04

Thanks for dropping by today, your visit lifted my spirits.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm playing along with Winnie & Walter's 5th birthday celebrations.

Five Challenge with Shay

Winnie & Walter, LLC

As they are five years old the first challenge is to use five of something on a card. I went with five colours chosen to match the colours from Winnie & Walter's logo.

I used my Copic pens to add stripes of colour to card before die cutting the word birthday. I made this look more dimensional by adding a couple of plain layers underneath. I then masked off most of a large Christmas sentiment so that only the word happy was visible and stamped this above the die cut.

The geometric strip on the left hand side is a trimmed off piece from a Winnie & Walter download freebie.

Supplies:
Stamps: Winnie & Walter, greeting from Seasons tweeting & Geometric freebie download
Die: Winnie & Walter In A Word, birthday cutaway
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: copic, RV66, YR04, Y18, YG17, BG01

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, it's been wonderful to have your company.

Monday Moment

Today it's back to cards and I'm playing along with the RETRO challenge at Time Out.

Well I guess I'm of an age where anything from my childhood/teenage years can be considered retro. My card's design and colours were inspired by a dress and coat I wore as a young teenager - cringe!
It wasn't exactly like this one, I seem to remember it was bright orange, but you get my drift....

Here's my card:

I'm hoping my card is not as gross as the outfit that inspired it - I obviously needed a bit of CAS back then for sure!

I used the Uniko stencil to create a background pattern and then stamped and die cut the Passiflora blooms. I finished off with a block sentiment which I hand cut.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko Passiflora, Uniko Style, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: SU, so saffron, crushed curry, flirty flamingo, calypso coral, mint macaron, tranquil tide; Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distrss oxide, candied apple
Die: Uniko, Passiflora
Stnecil: Uniko, Quilted

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed my little trip down memory lane.

And keep crafting!

Sunday Spot

Today I'm sharing a card I created using the colours from the current CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge and stamps from the fabulous new release at Visible Image.

Here's my card:

I started by stamping and heat embossing the flower and stem and then smooshed the pale yellow and green ink over using an acrylic block.  I used a brush and water to add some of the darker yellow to the flower centre.

I finished off by stamping the three words.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Random Act of Kindness
Inks: SU, so saffron, daffodil delight, pear pizzazz; Versafine Clair, nocturne; Versamark, clear + Ranger Superfine black embossing powder

Saturday Slot

Back with my scrapbooking again today. And this time my page uses the February sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

And ....... it's a pink one with sparkle!

Helen, my Pocket Letter bestie from Australia, really understands how long I've been waiting to embrace my pink and sent me a whole lot of goodies to help me on my way! The embellishment cluster card to the right of the photo, and pictured below, was lifted straight from one of the compartments in her pocket letter. Huge thanks Helen!

I carefully lifted the pearl centred flowers from the cluster and added them to die cut hearts. I placed one to cover two of the sticky marks and added a butterfly sticker, also from Helen, to cover the other sticky mark left by removing the flowers. I attached the other two hearts to create a triangle and added a puffy heart and gold dot next to each one.

Supplies:
Papers: BoBunny, Summer Mood; Best Creation Inc; scraps from my stash
Alphas: Dear Lizzy thickers, Woodland
Die: Lawn Fawn, Hearts
Stickers: Tim Holtz, Small Talk; Paperchase, puffy hearts
Embellishment stack: From a Pocket Letter insert

I hope you've enjoyed your visit to my blog today, I'm really most appreciative of your time.

And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

I've not been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately, so I decided to look for a challenge and get those papers out!  As I mostly scrap boys one of my favourite starting points is the challenge at Scrap The Boys. This month they have a moody blue board to inspire.

I recently received a photo of one of my grandsons new hair cut. Now this made me smile as I could remember when this fashion for tramlines hit back when my sons were young. But I couldn't remember which of them had it done to their hair - wish I'd heard about memory keeping back then!

Having checked with his dad apparently he had them cut into the back of his hair and so did my youngest son. Now the trend is just for one side. I'll be adding this extra info to the page - the journalling is so important to help us remember things!

I've still got a few chipboard pieces and stickers left from Cocoa Vanilla's Boy's Rule collection - easily my most favourite range recently. I shall be so sad to finish using it up and may just have to buy it all over again! Anyway I made a huge cluster of embellishments to the left of the photo and added just a few to the right.

I finished off with three trios of enamel dots placed to frame all the page elements.

Supplies:
Papers: Bo Bunny, Summer Mood & Double Dot; Bella Blvd, Secrets of the Sea
Stickers & Chipboard: Cocoa Vanilla, Boys Rule
Embellishments: Enamel Dots, Echo Park, A Perfect Winter

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been a pleasure to have your company.

Thursday Thoughts

Today it's a card for the final of the February challenges at STAMPlorations  that I'm palying along with. And it's my favourite - CAS!

Well I have to confess I had to google cerulean blue and also studied the DT cards carefully. Seems it's that brilliant sunshiny sky blue that I love to see - mostly when on holiday in Portugal, but occasionally here in the UK too.

It was the first outing of my new Visible Image stamps and I love how these flowers look. I stamped them in a row and then masked off a strip and added the blue using two Copic pens. One of the few times when the wide chisel tip gets an airing.

I added the sentiment just above  the coloured strip and called this card done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Random Act of Kindness
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, B28, B29
Embellishments: Blue gems from my stash

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, it's always more fun when you do.

And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

I seem to be on a bit of a roll with STAMPloration Challenges at the moment. today it's the turn of the TAGplorations Challenge.

What an amazing image! I was completely taken by the black and white swan - stunning!

For my tag I used a pinstripe background to capture the feeling of the two swans and then added a hand cut red rose on top. A red rose is the symbol of LOVE after all!

I finished off with a block sentiment and a black ribbon. I'm loving the look of black, white and red, so dramatic don't you think?

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Blocks Pinstripe, Pure Florals Rose, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Pens: Copic, R29, R39, YG67

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased that you spent some of it with me looking at my blog.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

I'm back a gain today playing along with another STAMPlorations challenge. This time it's their CUTplorations challenge and they've a pretty image to inspire.

I used only STAMPlorations supplies for my card so I'm also popping it into their Never-Ending Anything Goes challenge.

I started by stamping and colouring the flowers using a piece of scrap card. Then I die cut it into a stack of nesting hearts. In the end I only used the largest and smallest as I liked the feeling of space between them. The middle heart went into my planner diary - waste nothing!

The card was finished off with a stamped sentiment and matted onto a black card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Noteworthy 2, Big Dreamer, Brave One
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Memento, tuxedo black
Diee: Xcut, homespun Hearts
Pens: Copic, RV02, RV04, RV09, RV17, RV55, RV63, RV66, RV69, YG17, YG63

It's been great to have you visit my blog today, thanks so much.
