Tuesday Talk

Yay!
My first challenge entry for 2021!
It's for Addicted to CAS who are back after a bit of a break and also for going into the challenge at The Paper Players.

Couldn't be a more timely theme for me as we've been flirting with the odd bit of snow here in the UK.

I've used the cute little snowman from Funky Fossil's Christmas Characters and placed him in the bottom right corner - a bit of a favourite go-to card design for me. The falling snow and greeting are both from the same set.

Supplies:
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, R27, R37, R46, YR16, B0000, B00

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been fabulous to have your company.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko January BA Blog Hop

Today I'm here to tell you all about the January Brand Ambassador Blog Hop that's going on at Uniko.

January is a non-release month so the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are featuring the gorgeous Hello Lovely stamp set instead. I know you are going to want to win this beautiful stamp, so head on over to the Uniko blog to find out all the details.

Here's my card:

I started by preparing a water coloured background using four oxide inks on an acrylic block, a technique I shared on the Uniko blog earlier this month  - HERE.

Once this was dry I then stamped and heat embossed the floral cluster on top. I hand cut it and popped it up onto foam pads and matted it onto a black circle. The greeting, also from this stamps set, was haet embossed in white onto the black circle before I adhered the bloom.

I then matted a purple pearlescent strip of paper onto a white card black and adhered the cluster and black circle on top.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Hello Lovely
Inks: Ranger Distress Oxide, pine needles, picked raspberry, peacock feathers, wilted violet; Versamark clear + WOW! primary ebony & opaque bright white embossing powders
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched circles

Here's the blog hop list to help you find your way around. Good luck!

Thanks so much for looking. Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko Challenge #63 - Anything Goes + optional twist Use A Stencil

It's a busy day for me on my blog with two challenges and a new release post.

So here goes with another of the challenges - Uniko's first of 2021.

I used the beautiful Uniko Let It Snow stencil for my card.

It's certainly felt cold enough to snow round here recently, but I don't think it's going to happen. So I inked up my own snow storm instead. I kept my card quite CAS and masked off one half of the card front diagonally before inking through the stencil with three pastel colours of distress ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: sentiments from Uniko, Stunning Snowflakes, Pure Florals Peony
Stencil: Uniko, Let It Snow
Inks: Ranger distress, tumbled glass, shaded lilac, spun sugar; Versafine Clair nocturne

Of course Uniko has many different stencils and we'd be delighted to see one of them used on your card, but that's not a requirement. Just be sure to play along with this gift of an Anything Goes theme and who knows you could win one of the many prizes on offer.

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been fabulous to have your company.

Polkadoodles Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Time for another Friday Challenge at Polkadoodles. As always it's Anything Goes.

The theme the DT were asked to use for this week is Birthday.

Don't you just love this Winnie Key To The Door image? Guessing it must be one of those milestone birthdays for her!

I picked some pretty papers from the Scrumptious Sugar pack and then coloured Winnie up in matching oranges and pinks. I printed the sentiment from Winnie Celebrations 3 at the same time as I printed the image.

Once coloured I matted up the image and added some die cut Super Sprigs to the left hand side.

Supplies:
Pens: Copic, Y13, Y18, Y35, R20, YR02, YR07, YR16, RV000, RV02, RV55, RV66, E000, E00, E21; Sakura white gelly roll

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I'll hope you'll find time to join in with this week's Polkadoodles Challenge - HERE. Remember it's always Anything Goes and there are prizes to be won so you've got nothing to lose by playing along.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil January Release - Introducing Paisley Print

The last day of introductions to the Funky Fossil January Release . And such a versatile and fabulous one too!

With so many pretty paisley swirls and twirls it's difficult to choose which to stamp up. So I didn't really and just used as many as I could to create an all over background panel.

I kept the colours simple and added a plain brown card band to the top of the card to avoid it all looking too fussy. The Happy Birthday is the die introduced earlier this week.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Paisley Print
Die: Funky Fossil, Happy Birthday
Inks: SU, early espresso, crushed curry

From using as many as possible of the stamps as I could my next card uses just one. I combined it with one of the Spring Geometrics papers and the wide washi.

The banner and sentiment are from Blooming Wreath and Let's Party.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Paisley Print, banner from Blooming Wreath, sentiment from Let's Party
Paper: Funky Fossil, Spring Geometrics
Washi: Funky Fossil, wide black & white stripes
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E21, E33, G17, YG00, YG23
Dies: Spellbinders, classic circles small; Xcut spiro circles

My final share today uses some of the smaller stamps from the set to create a unique pattern. This was such fun to do and I had to tell myself to stop before I overdid it.

I think this is the beauty of this stamp set - the way it lends itself to creating your own patterns and images.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Paisley Print
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, V04, B04, G05

OK so now all the introductions are complete. The stamps, papers, die and washi will all be available to purchase in the Funky Fossil shop from tomorrow and Sarah will be using them in her demonstrations on Hochanda at 5pm and 9pm. Look out for a special stencil created especially for Hochanda too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. As always it's been great to have your company.

Stay safe and keep crafting!
