Tuesday Talk

I have a really sweet little card to share today and I'm entering it into the CAS Mix Up November Challenge.

Here's my card:

I went to the NEC Show in Birmingham earlier this month and as usual got completely entranced by watching Tracey demo her gorgeous Lavinia stamps. I bought quite a few, then went back and bought some more and also invested in a gelly plate. That's how I applied the background colours on top of the embossed grasses.

I masked a circle for the moon and used a dry baby wipe to add some ink shading. I also glistened up the moon, pixie, stars and grasses with a sparkly gelly roll pen.

Stamps: Lavinia, pixie, stars & sentiment
Inks: Colorbox, green apple; SU, pool party
Embossing folder: magazine freebie
Pen: Sakura gelly roll, clear star

Thanks so much for visiting today, it's always fun to have your company.

And keep crafting!

  1. The technique you've used for the embossing folder background looks fabulous and so very pretty. Wonderful soft colours and the prettiest of stamps too. Great purchases in the show and it sure looked like you had a great time and spent lots x Thank you for joining in the CAS Mix Up Challenge with your stunning card x.

  2. Wonderful technique, color and embossing.

    Hugs Diane

  3. This is a sweet card Jane! I love how you've coloured the embossed grass with a gelli plate pull. So very cool. I love how it left a white shadow on one side which makes the grass appear even more textured. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
