Saturday Spot

At last I've got my scrapbooking mojo back - well at least for now anyway. Today I'm sharing a page I created using the sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

I don't know why I've found it so difficult to scrap, probably something to do with not being able to enjoy the company of those that I like to scrap about. Every time I went to get out a photo I was filled with sadness, but I've talked to myself sternly and decided this had to stop. Scrapbooking for me is all about finding the positives and celebrating the good bits, so that's what I'm doing.

I'm kicking off today with this page featuring three of my special people all working together and concentrating hard. i replaced the doily from the sketch with a wooden frame and a journal card.

I stacked up some papers from Echo Park's Teen Spirit behind the photo and also cut out some of the triangular banner words. I added some die cut gears - their brains working - and word stickers, puffy stars and enamel dots.

The title is cut from the top of the packaging of the ephemera die cuts from Cocoa Vanilla's Boys Rule.

Supplies:
Papers: Echo Park, Teen Spirit; Simple Stories, Say Cheese II; scraps from my stash
Dies: Spellbinders, Sprightly Sprockets
Embellishments: Cocoa Vanilla, boys rule; Paperchase, puffy hearts & stars; Tim Holtz, word stickers; YNS Gumdrops, milk & cookies

Thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased to have had your company for a while.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

  1. I understand completely Jane! It is hard when you can't see the people you love! Your page is fantastic though! I'm so glad you got some scrappy mojo back! Thanks for playing at LGS!

  2. Wow Jane your page is just stunning, I love everything about it. I understand how sad it would make you not being able to see them but when all the sadness comes to an end you will all still have each other. Its good to see them home schooling together, that alone shows love and the page you've created is the other love, the love of them. Thanks for joining in with us at Let's Get Sketchy this month.
