CAS Colours & Sketches #174

Another gorgeous trio of colours at CAS Colours & Sketches this week. Oh look there's a purple included!

Here's my card:

I die cut the stitched circle window from my base card and then again from matte silver card. The central circle of the silver die cut was inalid into the base card.

I stamped and hand cut the flower using the other two colours from this week's trio. And finished off my card with a simple, yet bold sentiment.

Wednesday Words

A card to share today made for the challenge at Addicted to CAS where the code word is MIDNIGHT.

Lots of scope there then. Here's what I came up with:

Any excuse to break out those purple colours is fine by me and combined with the amazing Visible Image stamps makes for a fabulous recipe.

I stencilled the background colours first and then went over the whole card again using dark blue to tone down the whiteness of the card.

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a card I made for Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge where the optional twist is to use the colour magenta.

Almost purple then! And I was able to use some purple mixed with pink to achieve my magenta strip - sigh!

I started by masking off a strip and brushing on three colours to create my magenta element. I stamped the image and quote on top using the misti tool to get a good deep stamping.

I added a strip of washi down the edge to finish off my card.

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday Challenge #60

Time for another sketch challenge at The Memory Nest. Although I always make a scrapbook page as my DT sample remember you can use the sketch to create a card instead.

My page is all about the visit of my older grandsons during the Easter holidays and the rare time when I actually get all three grandsons together - granny bliss!

I changed up the bottom elements from the sketch and turned them into smaller banners inspired by a banner sticker I found lurking in my stash.

I also added a trio of mini photos to the horizontal strip and even my oldest son made it onto one of these pics. Plans were to get everyone together on one photo - didn't happen!
