Funky Fossil September Release Introduction Day 3

Are you ready for the next introduction to the Funky Fossil September Release?

This one is so fun! Say hello to the Delightful Divas.

The expressions on their faces! And the matching sentiments are just a hoot.

First up is this one in my favourite colours and a snarky comment!

I paired her up with the Coffee Cup stencil - well cake and coffee are an essential pairing aren't they? And then because she is a diva after all and wouldn't use just any old paper cup I added in a pattern using the Moroccan Mandela stencil.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Delightful Divas
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Coffee Cup, Moroccan Mandela
inks: Memento, tuxedo black, lulu lavender, angel pink
Pens: Copic, RV00, RV52, RV55, C5, E000, E00, V12, V15

I decided to go a bit festive with my next two card. I created a background strip using the Holly Background stencil and then added in one of the bodies from the previously released Chilled Chiccas set.

The sentiment is from Christmas Small Print, introduced but not used by me yesterday. She definitely looks like she's got some explaining to do!

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Delightful Divas, Chilled Chiccas, Christmas Small Print
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Holly Background
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, cracked pistachio, salty ocean
Pens: Copic, Y21, Y26, R22, E0000, E000, E00, G02, G05; Sakura white gelly roll

My final share is an all out Christmas card using the Christmas Small Print's more sassy sentiments to create an impression of a tree with you know who at the top!

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Delightful Divas, Christmas Small Print
Ink: Memento, cottage ivy, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, YR27, E000, E00, R20, R27, R29, YG11, G05, G07; Sakura white gelly roll

I hope you've enjoyed today's introduction - I certainly loved creating with the Delightful Divas!

So what's coming up tomorrow? Well it's stepping back from Christmas a little way and embracing Autumn instead. See you then!

Thanks for looking today, I've enjoyed having your company for a while.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil September Release Introduction Day 2

Hello and welcome back to the next day of introductions to the Funky Fossil September Release.

Still looking for that perfect Christmas set? Well I think these ones may fit the bill.

How awesome are the robins?

So having googled robin pics I set to work colouring up one of them.

I added glossy accents to his breast and also the heart on the log.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Robins
Pens: Copic, E35, E37, E40, E41, E43, E44, Y38, YR68, R05, YG67

I love the trailing ivy - Ivy was my nan's name - and created a border by repeated stamping it. it took an age to colour up, especially as I went to town and added in some pencil highlights on top of the Copic colours.

I then die cut a square and stamped the heart shaped ivy with some mistletoe hanging from its centre. I finished it all off by adding some glossy accents to the berries.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Robins
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, G24, YG67, R27, R59; Miya oil pencils

My final share uses both of the robins - well it would be rude not to - having a bit of a chat about their plans for Christmas.

I had a scrap of corrugated card lurking in my neutrals box and used it to ground the robins. I coloured them up using watercolour pencils - a bit of a change for me as I always forget about them and usually reach for my trusty Copic pens.

Supplies:
Funky Fossil, Festive Robins
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colours: Derwent Inktense watercolour

That wraps up another day of introductions. Tomorrow is a really fun day, so be sure to check back in to find out.

Huge thanks for stopping by today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

AAA Birthday Challenge #29 - Not A Card

The new challenge for September at AAA Birthday is a bit different. For a change it's asking for anything birthday related that's not a card.

My take on this theme is an exploding box.

I used lots of beautiful papers and ephemera from Cocoa Vanilla, Pinkfresh Studio and AC Amy Tangerine. Love them! The lilac tones might just have something to do with that!

There is plenty of room to tuck a little chocolate gift inside and if it was gifted to me I'd probably add birthday photos to it after the event.

Supplies:
Papers: Pinkfresh Studio, Just A Little Lovely; Cocoa Vanilla, Midnight & Bohemian Dream; American Crafts, Amy Tangerine Stay Sweet

What will you create for this challenge? Tags and bags and boxes and book marks are a few ideas that spring to mind. Go check out what the AAA Birthday DT and the fabulous guest designer Marieke have created to inspire you - HERE.

Huge thanks for stopping by my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Funky Fossil September Release Introduction Day 1

Today is the first day of introduction to Funky Fossil's September release.

We're kicking off with a fun set of mushrooms called Mushroom Medley.

How brilliant are they?

For my first card I started by creating an inky mystery background using Memento inks - I love how they blend.

I then stamped the mushroom on top and added one focal mushroom popped up onto foam pads. Don't you love that sentiment?

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Mushroom Medley
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, bahama blue, grape jelly, dandelion, rose bud
Pens: Copic, G02, BO2, V17

My next card uses a similar inked up background, this time a bit more random rather than the stripes of the previous card.

And wouldn't you like to turn yourself upside down? Well best get that magic working! Maybe a sprinkle of Wink of Stella would help.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Mushroom Medley
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, bahama blue, grape jelly, dandelion, rose bud
Pens: Copic, R32, B04, V17, YG00, YG03, BG13, RV66; Wink of Stella, clear

My final share for today reverts back to my usual more CAS style. I simply inked up some background rectangles by masking off sections and then added the hand cut mushrooms on top.

And those shrooms are very beautiful aren't they?

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Mushroom Medley
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, love letter, tangelo, dandelion
Pens: Copic, R46, Y02, YR12

Well that's me done for today. We're in Christmas mode tomorrow with a beautiful set designed by Tina Ashton. Hope to see you then.

Thanks for looking today, it's been a pleasure to have some company.

AAA Cards Challenge #198 - Up To One Third + optional twist Leaves

Are you welcoming Autumn with its bright sunny days and cooler evenings? Not to mention the glorious colours and the chance to get the knitting out again.

Well yes I do love autumn! So the twist to the new challenge at AAA Cards is perfect for me.

I started by using a piece of the awesomely coloured Patina washi from Funky Fossil to mark out my one third line.

I then blended some oxide inks together on a piece of scrap card and die cut three leaves to hang from the washi.

I finished off with a simple greeting from Funky Fossil's Small Print and a trio of brown sequins.

Supplies:
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, dried marigold, wild honey, seedless preserves; SU, chocolate chip
Dies: Lawn Fawn, Stitched Leaves
Sequins from my stash

There's tons more awesome inspiration from the DT over on the AAA Cards blog and an absolute stunner from guest designer Milla. Go take a look - HERE.

I'm so glad you stopped by for a bit today, thanks so much.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

T4TD September Challenge - Autumn Colours

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Time For Tea Designs.

Autumn has to be my favourite season so of course I've joined in with a card using beautiful autumnal colours.

I started by creating the background using the Hillside Village stamp set and coloured it up using autumnal shades. The grass was cut using the Landscape Edge die.

Next I cut a frame using the Smile Inverted Scallop Frame die and then I moved on to the characters. The fox, mouse and pile of leaves are from Woodland Critters and the wheelbarrow is from Blooming Bunnies.

The greeting is from Be Kind Be You and I thought it was appropriate to my little scene as they are obviously making preparations for that long winter nap.

This will be the last T4TD challenge for 2021. So be sure to get creating and try to win the £25 prize that is on offer. Find the link up HERE.

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!
