Merry Monday - Uniko BA Inspiration

Hello!

And welcome to a Merry Monday Christmas post featuring the BIG & BOLD Merry stamp set combined with the In The Forest stencil.

My first card uses a technique from Jennifer McGuire and uses both distress and distress oxide inks.

Lucky clover distress ink was applied straight from the pad to the background, then the stencil was placed over. Water was used to lift some of the ink and then once dry twisted citron and cracked pistachio distress oxide was added through the stencil.

My second card uses the exact same layout but this time the greeting was stamped onto a white die cut square. I then masked off parts of the stencil so that only three or one tree was inked.

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Maybe one of these ideas might inspire you to get creating. Remember to share anything you make in the facebook group Uniko Ltd or on instagram using #unikoltd. We love to see your creativity.

Thanks so much for looking today.

AAA Birthday Challenge #39 - Where In The world

 Hello!

It's time for the July Challenge at AAA Birthday.

Your card can be inspired by where you live or somewhere specific like London, New York etc where you'd like to spend your birthday or just a general place you'd like to spend your birthday like snowy, hot, on a cruise, a picnic in the countryside, on a mountain .....

So for my card I went with the UK as we've recently celebrated the 70th Jubilee of the queen.

The image is a digi from Jen Hadfield and perfectly illustrates the UK with the British bulldog and Union Jack flag.

The greeting is from Uniko and I coloured it up in the red, white and blue of the flag.

It's going to be such a fun challenge - a bit like a virtual tour of the world I'm thinking. Go see where the AAA Birthday DT and guest designer Sarah R have visited with their birthday cards - HERE.

Thanks for stopping by at my destination today!

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko June Release

 Hello!

So today's the day! All the new release wonderment is available to purchase at 9.00pm this evening.

I've a few quick cards to share, just in case you're still pondering the release and not to sure which are your favourites - as if!!!!

For this first card using the Organically Zesty stamp set I prepared a water coloured stripy background card and a smooshed card to cut the orange from. I also added in some extra colour using pencils and added a shine to the flowers with glossy accents.

My next two cards also use ready prepared water colour backgrounds. This first one has square splotches of colours in blues. I then stamped a heart on top of each and added in a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Blocks II.

And my final card has a watery coloured smooshed background with some added raindrops from the co-ordinating stencil. I then stamped the rainbow in the rainbow colours sharing the yellow arch with green and the indigo arch with violet to accommodate all seven colours.

Ok time to go write your shopping list now.

Be sure to share your makes in the UnikoLtd facebook group or on instagram.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko June Release - Introducing Sunshine & Rainbows

 Hello!

Welcome to the final day of introductions to the Uniko June release.

Everywhere you look around blogland and in everyday life life there seem to be rainbows. So why not get in on the action and stamp up a riot of colour with this awesome new stamp set?

My first card started with some rainbow stripes of water colour and an inked up background mat. I then stamped the rainbow, clouds and greeting in contrasting black and added in a hand drawn sunshine of my own.

And since I had all the rainbow colours out on my desk I inked up a couple of background strips to frame the the stamped rainbow and clouds.

And then for something completely different! Why not try a monochromatic effect? Of course I chose my favourite purples, but I'm thinking it would look good in almost any colour way.

I added in a strip of raindrops along the bottom using the co-ordinating stencil and matching purple ink colours.

I'm loving this set and have so many more ideas I want to try out. Maybe if this is not a sell out - which I'm sure it may well be -  a future BA Inspiration post might just be on the way.

OK, so all you have to do now is make your mind up, write a wish list and then wait just a little while for all the new goodies to go into the shop tomorrow 10th June at 9.00am UK time.

Thanks for looking. Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko June Release - Introducing Background Builders Hearts

 Hello!

It's day 3 of the introductions to Uniko's June release.

Today sees a new addition to the popular Background Builders series of stamp sets - Hearts.

Whenever I see hearts I always associate them with flowers and that's how my first card was influenced. The little droplets are a sneaky peek at part of tomorrow's introduction.

Another favourite of mine is using balloons on card, so I couldn't resit turning the hearts into prettily coloured floating balloons.

My final card today uses some of the vertical strip elements that are included in all of the Background Builder sets. they make for a quick, easy and eye catching card.

Just one more day of introductions to go now. Tomorrow is a really useful stamp set following an incredibly popular current theme - you'll be wanting to add this one to your stash!

Thanks for stopping by today. Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko June Release - Introducing Layering Stencils Zesty

 Hello!

Today's introduction to the Uniko June release sees the introduction of a fabulous set of layering stencils that co-ordinate perfectly with yesterday's Organically Zesty stamps.

The stencils are so easy to use and place, just make sure the Uniko label is always at the top left of your card and you're good to go.

For the above card I paired the stencils up with BIG & BOLD Wish stamps and dies.

My next card uses three of the layering stencils, but this time in shades of blue and teamed up with BIG & BOLD Happy. I'm thinking it looks just as good in non- citrus colours -  how about you?

My last share today reverts back to citrus colours and is a very CAS styled card. These stencils are certainly very versatile. the sentiment is from the Organically Zesty set from yesterday.

Thanks so much for looking today. Be sure to drop by tomorrow when I'll be sharing some cards with the next addition to the Background Blocks series of stamps.

Stay safe and keep crafting1

Uniko June Release - Introducing Organically Zesty

 Hello!

Welcome to the first day of introductions to Uniko's June release.

And we're feeling a bit fruity today!

For my first card I chose some citrus colours and inked up a central band before stamping the lemon image straight on top.

My next two cards are both paper pieced. I looked up the colour of orange and lemon blossom and chose a lightly scripted paper for the flowers.

This stamp set also includes some lovely sentiments.

Tomorrow there is an awesome set of co-ordinating stencils being introduced. hope to see you then.

Thanks for looking today. Stay safe and keep crafting!
