I couldn't wait to play with these sets and they look amazing on their own , combined together or with many other Uniko stamp sets. I've tried to show each of these ways with my cards today.
So here they are combined:
I started by stamping the French Script in aqua and green and then added a border with the bloom from Just Because round the edge. I used second stamping to add depth to the border.
I matted it onto a dark blue and have to tell you I almost stopped there - I think I was in love! But I forced myself to add a really smoulchy and romantic greeting from Just Because - well you know just because........ no idea who I might send that to!
My second card uses only stamps from Just Because and a new technique I found when looking at the very talented and inspirational Eileen Godwin's blog.
I started by using a scoreboard and scoring the horizontal lines then smudged ink straight from the pad on top of the raised side. I then masked off a circle and sponged matching ink round to crate the smudgy circle. The Uniko Just Because image and sentiments were stamped directly on top of this inky base.
I die cut this panel into a stitched rectangle and matted it onto a textured pearlescent grey card base.
My final card combines the French Script with the new Simply Said Blocks II and and the older Pure Florals Rose stamp sets.
I stamped the florals first, then the French Script on top. the greeting was stamped onto a stitched strip of card and adhered flat for ease of postage onto the card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Just Because, Large French Script BG, Simply Said Blocks II, Pure Florals Rose
Inks: SU, night of navy, bermuda bay, tempting turquoise, smoky slate, lemon lime twist, daffodil delight, crushed curry, melon mambo; Ranger ditress, picked raspberry
Are you loving that French Script stamp? I know it's going to keep appearing on my cards, so much so I'm not even bothering to pack it away! And then there's the Just Because set - totally swooning over that one!
Tomorrow sees the introduction of two new Uniko stencils that you're going to love. I'm leaving it up to the talented Stencil DT team to show them off to you, but I'll be back on Wednesday with another addition to a very popular Uniko series of stamp sets. Hope you've been saving up your pennies, you're so going to want this one in your basket too!
Thanks for your time today. And keep crafting!
A stunning trio, Jane, showcasing how wonderfully the new sets 'play nicely' with some older ones. Net effect: WOW, WOW and WOW! Love them all!
