CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder Guest Designer

I'm here today to remind you about the challenge going on at CAS Mix Up and to complete my Guest Designer spot there.

The technique for this challenge is layered embossing which gives such a richness, depth and vibrancy of colour. If you've never tried this technique before - and I hadn't until this challenge - I really recommend you have a play, you'll be delighted with its look.

For this reminder post I've used Uniko stamps and a Winnie & Walter die and given them a fresh new look that really sparkles and shines.

I stamped and coloured the Uniko bloom and then die cut it plus a couple of plain layers. I then swiped a Versamark ink pad all over before heat embossing using hologram powder. I repeated this embossing technique two more times.

The happy die cut was treated in much the same way, except that I use pearl plum embossing powder for the first layer and then the hologram powder for the next two layers. I just love how sparkly and bold the effect of this technique is.

Stamps: Uniko, Originally Organic, Originally organic additions, Simply Said Birthday
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Versafine, clear + Funstamps embossing powder, pearl plum & hologram; SU, elegant eggplant
Dies: Winnie & Walter Cutaways, happy
Pens: Copic, V15, V17, BG32, BG34

Thank you so much for looking at my blog today, your visits always make my day. And thank you so much to CAS Mix Up for inviting me to Guest Design with them and introducing me to layered embossing!

And keep crafting!
