I really focused in on the photo and took the pinks flowers as my inspiration and came up with this card:
In fact I focused in so much that I only used one flower - the very gorgeous Uniko rose.
And I tried something a bit different too. I started by stamping the solid rose onto scrap paper and then I inked up the French Script background stamp and stamped it onto the solid rose stamp before stamping the whole lot onto the card. That's why the script is a mirror image.
Then I stamped the outline rose over the top. I really love the patchy feel of the background and think it looks really pretty.
Stamps: Uniko, Large French Script BG, Pure Florals Rose, sentiment from Happy Succulents, Birthday sentiments
Inks: SU, melon mambo; Versafine, onyx black
So which part of the inspiration photo talks to you? Maybe the whole thing or maybe the colours or maybe just one tiny aspect? Whichever it is I'm looking forward to seeing your card pop up in the Uniko gallery.
Thanks for your time today, it's been great fun having you visit my blog.
And keep crafting!
Really beautiful CAS card, Jane ! And what a clever way to use the scrip stamp. Such a pretty combination with the rose. Fabulous take on the photo. Have a great weekend! xReplyDelete
Fun idea with the 'kissing" technique - you've reminded me about it! Lovely and elegant card xReplyDelete
This is simply beautiful. So clean, so simple and so elegant. I really like the kiss technique you've used too. Great work. xxReplyDelete
