Wow! Already we're on to the second challenge of 2020 at AAA Cards.
Now I love one layer cards and the challenges that they present and hope that you'll love my card too!
I started by stamping and masking one of the Festive Penguins from Funky Fossil. Then I had fun with my distress inks creating a background. A few flicks of water were added to look a bit like snow and the sentiment was stamped on top.
I removed the mask and coloured the penguin using Copic pens. And to give it more of a finished look I die cut it into a double stitched rectangle. This was then adhered onto a card blank the exact size so that it still looks like a one layer card, but without the colour bleeding from the pens showing through onto the back. We do allow this at AAA Cards.
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Penguins
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, wilted violet, blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon;
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles
Pens: Copic, RV02, BV01, B02, C00, C3, C5, C7
You'll be amazed at the variety and beauty of all the AAA Cards DT samples - HERE. and we've also got an awesome and well known Guest Designer, Kylie, joining in with us for this challenge. Be sure to go take a look!
