Wednesday Words

Today I'm sharing the card I created for the challenge at Perfectly CAS. The theme is SPARKLE.


I used two Funky Fossil stencils for my card and sparkled it up with some WOW! embossing powder:


I started by inking through the Mermaid stencil with two colours of distress oxide and heat embossed it with a sparkle powder. I wasn't sure if the distress oxides would take the embossing powder, but was really pleased with the result. 

I then overlapped the mermaid with the Scenic Borders stencil and used the same two colours but tried to place them opposite to the mermaid's colours.


I then die cut this into a stitched strip, matted it onto green card and then onto a purple card base. I finished it off with a sentiment taken from the Funky Fossil Geo Bugs stamp set. 

The pic below shows a lot more of the sparkle and how it looks in real life.

Stencils: Funky Fossil, Mermaid, Scenic Borders
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, wilted violet, peacock feathers; Versafine Clair, nocturne; WOW! embossing powder, neutral ultra shimmer
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats long & skinny rectangles
