AAA Cards Game 2

So how did you get on with last week's first ever challenge at AAA Cards?  Such a great response to our new challenge blog and I enjoyed visiting all your blogs to see what you'd been up to.

So today it's time for the release of game 2.  This week it's a sketch and/or colour combo for you to enjoy creating with.

http://www.aaacards.blogspot.co.uk/

I made a couple of cards to share and hopefully inspire you to join in.

First up is a fairly literal copying of the sketch using the beautiful Clearly Besotted stamps to peep through the aperture on the turquoise card. I pricked the faux stitching round the strip before mounting it onto pads to give the dimension needed for the aperture.

The tree is stamped onto a die cut and embossed circle the same size as the aperture. I placed three sprinkles in a triangle round this cute sentiment, from the same set, to highlight it.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Design A Tree
Inks: Adirondack, pool; Ranger distress, victorian velvet
Card: AC cardstock
Die: Spellbinders, Standard circlces small
Embellishments: doodlebug sprinkles, Spring assortment

It was such an easy sketch and great colours that I just had to make another card.  This card uses my 'go to' circular stack with a butterfly, button and twine combo.

I have so much pretty patterned paper that I don't think I'd run out if I never bought any for the next few years - that's never going to happen though!  Anyway it's always a pleasure to look through them and select a piece for a project and this paper was so right for the colours and sort of vintagy feel of my card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Say It In Style
Ink: Memento, teal zeal
Paper: basic grey, hopscotch; Bazzill Basics cardstock
Dies: Xcut, spiro circle; Spellbinders, standard circle small
Punches: Martha Stewart, butterfly & flower
Embellishments: button & twine from my stash

Well that's me done for today. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I really hope I've helped you and you'll feel inspired to join in game 2. Looking forward to visiting your blogs again this week!

Jane
